    Megapole Loose

    Hi,

I ordered a bunch of expired loose from northerner. And in the 100 cans I ordered, they decided that 90 of those 'random' snus cans would all be megapole snus loose. This stuff tastes like Gotlands’ Julesnus Portion. Everything I read says it should be tobacco taste. Nope, just taste like clove and ginger. WTF. I have tried General Los, and Thunder Los, all have been great. Is this normal? It is only a couple of months past expire date, so it should not be 'spoiled', I have a ton of portions past expiration date and they are fine. Anyone know what this stuff is supposed to taste like?

When I last used Megapole, it did not taste like Julesnus at all. It was rather neutral.

The problem might be in very hot weather. If the snus travelled for some time in extreme temperatures (in warehouses, etc.), it might have turned.

That sounds horrible. Especially if you plan on using all 90 cans of "clove and ginger" snus before your next order.

I haven't tried it, and never will, but I found an online review from Chad, where he states that the portions have a slight juniper taste to them:
The taste is quite interesting - remember that juniper smell I talked about earlier? I can kinda taste it in the white portion as well. This snus for some reason reminds me of Phantom Blue (White Portion) but with a little citrus mixed in. I don't know if that's due to the tobacco used, but for some reason I picked up juniper in every portion I put in my mouth.
Could that be the "clove and ginger" taste you're talking about?

That sounds like it may be a mislabeled batch?

This, or it was stored next to julesnus and has picked up the taste. Last can I had was the white portions and there is nothing remarkable about the taste, quite bland in fact.

My megapole is on the loose...Sorry someone had to say it. Never had it either but have heard of it. Definitely shouldn't taste like clove or ginger.

I wrote an email to Northerner & V2 to see if they can help. I have gotten another 100 cans of loose (expired). Placed two orders, and the second batch is mainly Thunder original loose, and it tastes fine. This is likely a bad batch, improper storage, or it just tastes like S#!t.
