So if you take a normal 8mg/g portion - it's 1g in weight so has 8mg of nicotine in it - but if you have it in your mouth for 30 mins (average use) it will probably only release between 1-2mg of nicotine slowly in to your system. Making it deliver a similar amount as a full strength cigarette - but over a much longer period which is why snus doesn't give you that hit - even though you might be taking in more nic.

I hope that makes sense ... Btw I don't vape so can't comment on that so much.

      Cheers

Thanks Squeezy and it made perfect sense. Just like the nic in vapor is absorbed in the mucus membranes of the mouth and nasal passages. Snus will be delivered to the mouth membranes.
That's one problem I learned the hard way. Just like when I started vaping. I didn't know when to stop. Oh boy here comes the nic sick monster.
Kept the pouch in to long. Add empty tummy = not feeling good. Lesson learned.
Yea I'm slow but I'm persistent.

I'll tell you, the first time I ever tried snus that little pouch kicked my butt. After ten minutes the ceiling started to spin around and I had to take the portion out and didn't try another one until the next day. Fortunately I too was persistent and that was the beginning of the end of a 25 year smoking addiction.

          I'm still going to try.
Guess I need to update my signature. Still not showing my avatar either.
