On the flip side, Northerner added a pile of bonus Stonewall Javas with the last order, which was very nice; Snus Central has also been very kind with bonus tins of snus, to be fair.

      Overall, my experience is that it is certainly plausible for someone to order from Northerner and receive expired snus; furthermore, if that person lives where Swedish Post is not an alternative, you will not receive replacement snus, only store credit. That is unbiased and evidence-based (as I wrote, I would order from them again under the right circumstances).

      I do prefer the option of DDP, as well; my bill from the last Northerner order was $10.25, which is not a dealbreaker, but which is just irritating when the actual duty involved was 50 cents (the rest being transaction fees) and DDP is a known alternative.

        I don't get it, your wife would kill you if you paid on average $4 per tin but she would be ok if you paid $4.16 per tin?

          I didn't understand that it was a promotion for expired snus even though it was listed as regular snus not in the mystery or nearly expired or expired category
          I am totally clueless compared to you about things I bought 3 years ago (the last time the site worked for me to actually complete an order)

You will defend northerner to the death for some reason as if you are the leader of North Korea. Someone doesn't receive their snus "system problems its a glitch you don't understand it will be figured out" Someone gets charged more than they were told "You obviously didn't understand the terms and conditions of your purchase" Someone can't get the site to verify them "You're making things up in an attempt to slander them they are the best if you were really not able to do this you'd spend hours putting together a display board to show all of us." Someone gets expired snus "It was a promotion you obviously didn't understand it that it was supposed to be that way."

          Sometimes you need to realize that not everyone is against you, they are for themselves. And with that everyone for themselves mindset Northerner hurts everyones trust as they continue to screw up and then they look even worse when someone swoops in claiming all of those people are idiots who don't understand how Northerner operates and that they didn't understand something that clearly wasn't written that you claim to have been.

            It is only bias when the person stating is not using his own experience as a reference and to just throw in a flippant comment that a company is an absolute joke is over the top. I agree the DDP is better prepaid but Northerner did address and an absolute joke company certainly would not. Why some go to great lengths to bash Northerner doesn;t make any sense, as warts and all they are bona fide professional company and we are all better served when there are as many snus options as possible. Their success is our success.

              Whatever dude, nice scenario you painted, so this all started again when you said you received expired snus 3 years ago. Again, please bring up Northerner when it is relevant and can be verified and addressed, at least RB had some detail and painted a balanced picture. It wasn't right and Northerner addressed in a meaningful way. Northerner may not be his preferred snus provider but he knows they are still a viable option. Northerner has hiccups like EVERY company that employs humans. I think a person that gets an order from Northerner approx every 30 days for the past 4 years, has more credibility then a guy that made his last order 3 years ago and states he won't order again because he can't get past the age verification on the website and when Northerner replies to assist just say's forget it.

                This guy is ****ing nuts. That is my unbiased assessment after first-hand experience reading his weird pro-northerner rants.

                    I don't think anyone is against me on this site but perhaps you?...Northerner does not have ongoing issues across the board...sure issues here and there but they are always addressed. I have never claimed anyone is an idiot if they have an issue with Northerner, so don't just make things up. As I said before, I only offer advise how to rectify. I didn't say for sure what happened on the expired snus. I said it was either part of the promotion or they would replace. I should have added replace or credit but otherwise I left all possible scenarios on the table.

                      No rant was made by me, sorry your off the cuff comment that Northerner is an absolute joke didn't go unchecked.

                        There is no need at all for anyone to get hot under the collar when others state their general satisfaction or dissatisfaction with any specific snus vendor. Fine if you want to come in and say that you've had the opposite experience ... but it simply to start a fight with someone for stating their view looks fairly silly to me!

                        I think this area of the forum is one of those times when proper free speech works best. People post their experiences with a company, positive or negative - and the reader can make their own mind up! It is up to the vendor themselves to keep their reputation by making darn sure that the vast majority of people are satisfied or even delighted with the service ... that way there will always be more happy customers to give their views than angry ones.

                        I've done my fair share of Northerner-bashing in the past - based on entirely real bad service that took absolutely ages to resolve. Now they've made good on that transaction I have no beef with them anymore - but given that I'm addicted to snus and need a guaranteed delivery of it with the minimum of errors and delays - I now hardly give Northerner any of my custom because there are stores out there which I have never had an issue with and deliver my snus promptly.

                        It would be nice if this could be kept civil.

                          Have I not kept it civil and constructive from post one on this thread? All of the personal insults one could deem as non civil have been made against me by Thunder and LordJ, so if you're coming to my defense I appreciate it.

                            I've seen plenty on this thread that I wouldn't consider civil from all sides. It's classic passive-agressive winding up presented with a kind of smugness as if the person writing it had just invented the technique. A sugar-coated turd is still a turd in the middle!

                            Having seen this behaviour so many times before on forums - I'm pretty bored by it all really ... just more bored by the work I'm supposed to be getting on with ... but seriously guys ...

                                Well done! You have correctly identified the irony in my post.

                                I will decline your offer of getting involved further. You seem very defensive and angry. I simply want people to think about what they're writing in public in a place I care a lot about before airing their dirty underwear in public.
