    Strong snus

Hey guys, I was a smoker for many years and still have one every now and then if I'm honest but I've been using dip and snus to great effect in curbing the smoking habit. Just wanted to ask tho in regard to my snus about snus strength. I normally use Thunder extra strength portions (I hate the mudslides) which after putting two in my upper lip I get a good buzz after 5 minutes which usually lasts around 15-20 minutes. Is there anything that is stronger or will give a longer lasting buzz? Really wanted to stay away for loose but will give it another go if its the way to go.

    Thanks in advance guys

You could try making your own larger portion using any los with these: http://www.snus2.se/marken/prillan/p...ionspasar.html

There a few videos on You tube on making your own using heat seal tea bags.

I have used the Prillans with loose snus and the portion can be large, up to 2.5 gr(?). These do not seal but do keep the snus contained for very minimal loose flakes floating around and stuck in the teeth.

Yeah, that seems like crazy high nic levels. Oden's Extreme makes me feel like I'm in an opium den. Could'nt imagine needing more than that.

I was going to say you guys must have an insane tolerance. Im finding strong snus isnt for me. Hell even the 14 mg Jakobssons portions were too much until I got "acclimated" to them. But even now Im finding the nicotine buzz just disappears. I only use 4 portions per day. Ill stick to regular portions from now on. Whatever nicotine level you choose your body just balances out your tolerance to whatever strength you are using. May as well keep it conservative. However for a smoker im sure you WOULD want and need a bit more. Snus isnt the same as a nice unfiltered cigarette

I use strong portions probably twice a day. Once in the morning and usually after dinner other than that it's regular strength for me. But like you said when I first switched from smokes/dip to snus I used extra strong exclusively for almost a year.

It sounds like, especially in my case and case's like mine, where a stronger nic habit was there before hand you have to allow your body time to de-climate to that amount. I'm currently using two Thunder portions (16mg) per time about 3 times a day which seems to work well for me. I do like a strong hit tho so will def give the Oden's Extreme a try but think I'll skip that Siberia stuff. Thanks for your replies guys, really helped get a feel for the different brands etc, now comes the fun part in trying them all

Regular was enough for me. But I don't mind a strong one here and there. To me, I don't look for the buzz, I just like to keep it steady, and I like some flavor and a sting under my lip.

I think the nicotine delivery with snus is steady, and I don't think it leaves the body quickly (like cigarettes?) When I was a smoker, after I wake up, I reach for a cigarette. But with snus, I would be able to wake up, eat, get coffee then snus. I am not sure how it is with you.

Ordered some Oden's in and I've got to say I really really like it, very smooth and steady nic hit. Great recommendation guys.

Addola, when I used to smoke I would have one with my cuppa first thing in the morning but with snus I'm like you in that I have it once I've been up a couple of hours, had breakfast etc.
