    New to the site

Hello I recently found this site. I like how active and friendly it seems.

I am a smoker, primarily not a snus user. I have tried it in the past during a visit with in laws staying in a nursing home. Found snus too similar to grasshopper spit, but it could be the American version I used.

I am starting to switch back to nasal snuff. Way healthier than cigarettes. I'm having trouble finding it in New Mexico. 8 years ago I could order English snuff in my local smoke shop, now the shops don't know what I am talking about.

This weekend I tried ordering online and had trouble with any method besides paypal, which isn't widely used in Europe.

Welcome, Lesli. Many of us here are former smokers. I use snus exclusively, and have never used nasal snuff, but I know that we have members here with a lot of knowledge on snuff sources and brands.

As I am waiting for my snuff order to arrive, is there an American brand of snus that is better than the 3 flavors of camel I previously tried?

Nope, American snus I've tried is awful. I get Swedish-made General locally (their website has a store finder), or I order from Sweden. Some big tobacco shops carry Swedish snus as well, but not usually a big selection.

Where are you at in New Mexico? If this map is up to date theres a few shops that sell Swedish snus, most likely General. The store finder shows a lot more.

Thanks. It'll be about 10 days before my snuff gets here, and I hate the thought of buying another carton of smoke at around $60. The chemicals the American tobacco companies add scare the stuffing out of me. I don't see how they get away with it.

Looking at the map the nearest shop is about 180 to 200 miles away.

Welcome Lesli.......not that you would take that drive, but I have had mixed results looking on the maps for snus vendors, mostly they have been shops that have quit selling snus in my area......

You might look for a Tinderbox store. One here in Columbus, Ohio sells Jakobsson's snus. It is great stuff. If they don't have it, maybe they would get it for you.

Thanks I haven't heard of Jakopson's. I stumbled onto www.oldmillsnuff. com seems to be a small 1 man operation out of Tennessee. I sent an email for a price list and policies, I'll see what information I get back.

Old mill is a small batch artisan snuff (not snus) maker. It is owned and operated by Daniel (last name I would have to look up). They are a reputable maker of very good high end snuff. I have dealt with them so no worries there

But it is strictly his brand of nasal snuff .......no snus and no other brands of snuff
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers
