Heya Guys! First post here aswell.

I've been checking this forum for quite a while now since i like to keep myself informed in what's the latest on snus, specially cause i'm still hoping and crossing my fingers that the goodamn European snus ban will finally be lifted this year! ..
I think i first started using snus at summer of 2009 when i was living in Norway ... I had no idea whatsoever what it was but i was told that it was much better than having me smoking, so i gave it a go, and loved it! (I couldnt really feed my habbit afterwards since Snus costs are ridiculous in Norway!! ~11$ per can) ...

Eventually i moved to the Holy Land of Snus and was able to buy snus as if it was candy, still... I got pretty annoyed that there was pretty much only Swedish Match products being sold in Stockholm's stores. (Oh the turns and trips i've made to get my hands on some V2/Jakobssons products .. ZZZ).
I've been trying to be some kind of messenger here in my homecountry of Portugal spreading the Snus word here and there since its TOTALLY an unknown product, and people often look at me like some kind of junkie/weirdo when i pop a snus in. They are also often pretty sceptical people when i tell them about the benneficts of using it instead of smoking but in most cases it doesnt help, so i just end up STFU'ing and giving them the link to that famous CBS snus docummentary (Damn you Justin Billings! ).
Anyway, enough talking.. I guessed it was time to get myself part in this awesome community and share with everyone my snus experiences and hopefully contribute in making this forum even better (eh.. hard stuff)

Great! Hope ya liked it here ^^ Portugal is a pretty darn nice country to visit... Not so much to live on though.
Hmmm... I really do not know anyone from here... Only familiar with some obvious names since i like to check reviews/info online so i end up seeing those guys often posting stuff :þ

It's kind of sad, but till now i had pretty much no one to have a proper share of personal opinion on snus. (PORTUGAL, Y U NO SNUS MOAR?)

Howdy....Texas newbie here. Been searching around here on Snuson to get familiar with some of the Snus lingo....doing good so far I guess....I do have a couple of questions though. I've been dipping moist snuff for years now starting out with Copenhagen (Got burnt out with the flavor) and have tried just about every brand and flavor out there. So for the past few years I've been dipping Longhorn Long Cut Straight and really enjoy the flavor (sweet, spice). I've been wanting to try out snus (Tried the U.S. snus, Marlboro, Camel when it first came out....blah) but curious to what flavor is closest to Long Cut Straight? Also, I have been talking to my girlfriend about maybe trying it as well (She has tried the U.S. snus and was not that impressed). What flavor would be a good starter for her (Nothing like Copenhagen flavor)? She would want portion since she has to be discreet. Thanks in advance.

Hey Bro.......welcome to the forum..............I too was a long time dipper that has tried just about everything out there (well except for all those Skole Berry and fruit dips)

I would give Odens Extreme los, General Extra Stark, Grov, and Ettan a try. You might also want to throw in some Phantom Brown and Blue and Goteborg Rape in for some variety.

That said............do not look at snus as Swedish dip...........approach it as a separate (though related) product. Let it stand on its own and you will find it more than just a sub for dip..............you will find it a superior product.

In the meantime you might want to check out the Dipper's Guide to snus..............a lot of folks on the same journey as you have provided a lot of good info that you may find helpful.

As far as your wife goes............get the portions sampler box.............let her try a variety and find what works for her

Regardless give yourselves time to let your taste acclimate..............don't throw anything away............if you don't like it at first Freeze it and revisit it in a few months............your taste will change.

Hiya Big Cee. Old Houston boy here and welcome aboard. In addition to the perfect advice of Snusdog I'd also recommend you throw in a few mini sized versions in your order to see if your G-friend might like those since they are more discreet and usually have a lower nictotine level. Unfortunately minis are available in far few versions than regular size portions but they're worth a try if the "normal" size portions seem too big or too strong. In fact to a significant degree minis are marketed to appeal to women snusers

Does not any of the online vendors ship to Guam? Have you already checked some of them? Are there special laws to prohibit the import of tobacco (by private persons)?
