Thank you all for welcoming me. Unfortunately, the snus I didn't like have expired. They were not kept in the freezer so I had to throw them away.

Uhmm. Snus doesn't really 'expire', it might just get a little dry and lose some of it's background flavors but otherwise you can oft bring it back by spraying a little H20 on it and set it in the fridge a day or two OR in the case of General Wintergreen - just piss on it or throw the tin in the catbox for a day and it will also revive back to good as new.

Only time I would really ditch any snus would be in the "RARE" event it turns to mold. That would usually take an unsealed tin and/or some other bacteria conditions around it I reckon...

I have nothing against cats. Well, I sorta don't like cats as much as kittens.

Serious story:

My fiance' and I were walking about the flea market on Sunday (Father's Day). This little boy was carrying around this little kitten. The pour thing was panting and what not. I hear the boy yelling "Free Kitten..." so I started talking to him cause I've been thinking about getting a cat to have in and out of my house to help cut down on the mice population and to just play with cause I love kittens. I asked the boy if he had any with blue eyes cause I really been looking for a little kitty with blue eyes, they are so cute! He said, sure, follow me... So we walked for like 300 yards down into the vendors parking and my man took me up to this minivan where his dad was hanging out and they popped the back hatch and sure enough they had a damn cage in the back with like 4 more kittens. This little dark gray one was so cute, and he sorta had blueish eyes. So I'm holding it and pretty much told the guy I would be taking it all the while my fiance' bitching me out and tugging at me to give it back. Finally she got pissed and walked over to a shade tree to wait about 20 yards away. The man told me if there was any problems he would be there for a bit and would take the kitten back. So I ended up trying to plead with the fiance' for like 15 minutes to no avail and could tell I would never hear the end of it if I took this kitten home. So I proceeded back to the man's mini-van and he had walked off to look around the flea market or whatever I guess. So I pretty much stood there for another 15 min.s all along thinking. Do I want this little pussy or the real thing??? Luckily the guy showed up and no problem, took the little pussy cat back.

1 hour later, once back to her trailer. I got the real pussy! So I guess that was the moral of the story... Damn, I'm terrible at telling stories. I need the dAwg to pop in and touch this one up a bit for me but well, you get the point?

So what's the point of the "best before" thing? I was told that if I keep it in the freezer it will last for a year or so but this has to be done before "best before" date - I assumed...

Well... Simple answer would be "It's best before -given date-".

Depending on how it has been stored and the brand, seal on can, opened/unopened, or any other extenuating factors, one could assume it is "Best" to store it in the freezer by this date, however, I don't think it is a standard necessity written in stone as per the beginning arguments of this sentence.

You have a point. As a matter of fact I do have a couple of "expired" phantom portion cans resting in the fridge. Although I don't like phantoms, I'll take my chances and give it a go. Its "best before" date is May 10.

Hello everybody. I,m a newbie here and this is my first post.
Since starting out with my first Snus ( General portion), i have been smokefree for a year and a half and found it very easy to quit the cigs with snus.
my faves being general los and general exstra sterk los. I have been reading the posts here for a while and have got some great advice and information
so many thanks to you all.
