Does anyone here prefer to put their pris in their lower lip? That's what I do. I pack my prises pretty tight and don't have much of a problem with mudslides.
Lower lip?

Welcome to Snuson mczonie.
In the end with any snus, there is no "right" way, just the way you prefer. Yeah, some folks sometimes lower lip it. Yeah, that way can produce more juice. But maybe that is perfect for you. So it lower lip feels right, it is. For you.
But yeah, a number of folks at least do it occasionally.
And welcome again to Snuson. So how long you been using??

Some negatives come to mind:
Spitting due to more juice & leading to more loose tobacco floaters.
Getting back that nasty 'chew lip' look.
Having tobacco caking into my lower teeth which seems to show better than the top ones on me.
But anyhoo, with that said. Yea, no problem... different strokes for different folks.
Edit: doh.... Btw.. welcome to SnusOn!

I use Skruf Stark, and 90% of the time I lower lip it. After being a Cope user for quite awhile, I don't find an excess of saliva at all. I just hillbilly in the lower lip, and it's like a dip of Cope - only tastes better and is healthier for you.
But like Sage said, once you get into snus, you just have to experiment, see what works for you - there's no wrong way to enjoy it.
But I know that is easier said than done because a lot of beginners here in the states don't have a lot of friends doing it too. You're on your own to figure it out, and you want to make the most of your snus experiment. That's why there's so many beginners here. They've probably googled "how to do snus" or something like that, and poof, ended up here (that's probably why I'm here).
Read up on all the advice on this forum on how to enjoy snus, but don't feel limited by it. Learn to bake, but don't get frustrated about it. Keep with it, experiement, learn what works for you, and above all - don't go back to the cigs, which by the way, I congrat you for going so long with out for 49 days and counting!
Snus on!

My welcome will pale in comparison to others. So I'll just say "hi!"
You can put it in the lower lip. I've been more prone to doing so because of upper lip irritation and sore gums as of late. No matter what brand/kind/etc it IS oral tobacco, anywhere in the mouth will suffice.
Put it under the tongue for a unique burn and more juice than you know what to do with. hehe.

Spitting due to more juice & leading to more loose tobacco floaters.
When I first started lower shelfing, I had to spit, but not anymore. I have enough tolerance to swallow the juice now, and in fact, I think it gives me a better nicotine hit.
Getting back that nasty 'chew lip' look.
That's true, but the alternative is chipmunk lip. Since it's traditional in the U.S. to use the lower lip, people at least know what's wrong with your lip when you have it in the bottom shelf. I get lots of weird looks when I use the upper lip.
don't go back to the cigs, which by the way, I congrat you for going so long with out for 49 days and counting!
I was absolutely astounded at how easy it was to switch from cigs to snus. I have had virtually no desire to smoke since I started. Snus is truly nature's nicotine gum. As long as snus stays legal, I'll probably never smoke another cigarette for as long as I live.
