Brand new to snus and like a lot of others that I have been reading, came to it via Camel. Now I don't claim to love it or hate it, I will say that I like it well enough and it has introduced me to snus for the 1st time. I have now been seeking out places to try the real deal Swedish variety and have ordered a small sampler from an online site.

That being said, I tend to have a preference for immediate gratification. I am not sure how many people here are from my general location (SE Mass and Rhode Island) but if there are any... Does anyone know of any local shops that sell it? I would very much appreciate the heads up. I would like to be able to pick up a couple of different types to try and then just order what I like online with maybe a can or two of something that I have not tried yet.

Anyway, I appreciate any advice and am happy to have found something that has made it a bit easier to quit smoking.

I second both sage's welcome and warning.

A better rout may be to order a try out box from one of the online shops or buy one can each from the top 10 list at one of the online shops. That way you will get a good intro to what is out there and not limit yourself to just one brand or maker.

Thats probably not gonna happen. For one, as mentioned, if you find any at all in shops in the US it will be a few brands of General and thats it. Second, it will take you longer than a few days to really see what you like and dislike. I am going on a month of snusing and I still don't have it pinned down, there is so much to try, that I have no idea yet what I will settle on.

My advice is to order some sample packs from getsnus. You will have many kinds, flavors, and strengths to try that way, and its cheap and shipping is fast.

Ditto, that's what I did and as time went by I'd try a different can every now and then. Today, 7 months later my tastes have changed and my regulars are the ones I really didn't care for in the beginning. I've managed to reduce my nic intake down to where the minis are working for me, all depends on what your goals are. Mine was to get away from cigs and have succeeded in that.
