just signed on… I quit a 40+ yrs. Marlboro (last few years I smoked Marlboro Lts, Reds got to be too much for me) smoking habit Dec. 26th, 2009 when I received my PV mod, an SD MkII (Screwdriver by Trog) and began vaping. I love vaping, love the liquids and make some of my own which is how I came to find snus… I was making a liquid that that required soaking snus in VG and all I could find locally was Camel Snus… anyhow, I tried one of them the way they were intended to be used and really enjoyed it… that was about 2 weeks ago and I have bought several tins since then.

I started doing research online, found Snuson.com through ecig.com forum and have been reading as a *guest* for several days. I placed an order with Northerner last week, (Nordstrommen Julesnus, Merry Christmas, Catch Cozy, Thunder Frosted, Oomph Licoricethen & some Swedish candy and Violet pastilles) read about the ship time so placed an order with GetSnus (Autumn Sampler & General Mixed Sampler) earlier today… all portions, I did forget to order loose and tool, I really love the look of the Icetool and have to have the Icetool Snus Box… beautiful! Since I live in Ohio I am hoping to receive it in a few days, if not I will just have to pick up more Camel… I have found that snus *really* helps with the cig cravings much better than my SD/liquids alone.

I am glad to have found this forum, Thank You for all the good info… I loved reading about the Box Pass too and hope to be able to join in when I have a nice stash built up.

LOL, another e-cigg refugee. :lol: :lol: I am assuming you have seen some of the other threads lately so won't repeat myself here. But just wanted to say welcome, and et us know what you think of the Swedish when you get it.

Should say here that you will find it quite different than the Camel. Just be prepared and patient, takes a couple of weeks to really taste as it should, first two, your body is just acclimating to the salt.

I do hope your Getsnus order has some non flavored snus. New folks often assume they will prefer flavored more. but history shows that most folks quickly find out they really do prefer the non flavored.

But you have plenty of time to test and taste, let us know if you have any questions along the way.

Thank you all for the welcome… Sagedil, yes, I've been reading here a lot. I think there are some *just tobacco* flavours (if that is what you meant by non flavored) in the Autumn sampler I ordered from getsnus:

The local Camel Snus is way too sweet. I do use tobacco flavored eliquids as well as sweet ones with my SD, the tobacco more than the sweets, now that I found one brand/strength/flavour that I am totally satisfied with… I can't stand the Liquid Smoke smell or flavour some have. Right now I do have to have the tobacco taste, it's what I want… so I'm pretty sure I will like the unflavoured. I have found that the snus keeps me more *level*, more calm somehow, used alone or while using my SD. I was pretty much a chain smoker/heavy user and use/used my SD the same way… until I tried the Camel Snus. From what I've read I don't think I will be using the SD and the Swedish snus together, don't want to feel queasy.

OK, excellent order. Enough variety, I think truly a great sampling of all that snus has to offer.

Again, just be patient first few weeks. May taste really strange and salty at first, that goes away after about a week or two. And be prepared for your tastes to keep changing, so totally normal and to be expected.

So....you don't like something at first, you hate it, think you will never use again, just set it aside and try it again in a month or two. there have been hundreds of stories from newer folks about discovering they suddenly love what they once hated. Same time, you start to find a snus you really like, don't overuse it. Quickest way to make a snus turn on you. especially your first year, try and use as large as a variety as you can. time enough next year to start settling into favorites then.

Hi Ginnie ... another ecig refugee here. I came over to Snus around april last year. I have only ordered from Getsnus so far. The shipping times aren't too bad. I'm in Iowa and if i order early Monday and it comes UPS i'll have it Friday. Since you are in Ohio it should be a little quicker.

That's a good order you have there, lots of variation. The los sampler they do is a good starting point for los too.

teeotee, if they have what you want, you really need to try Clubsnus. I have done 4 order with them now, and all 4 came in two days all the way across the country. So obviously, would get to you in 2 days too.

Sage, i have looked at clubsnus but they don't carry much los. I will keep checking back though. If they start carrying Ettan, Odens, Skruf or Phantom los i will be all over it

EDIT - just went and checked .... they have Skruf Stark Los :lol: :lol: may have to order some just to try them out.

teeotee, don't use UPS man! Call right after you place an order and ask for USPS. It gets to my door in Seattle 36 hours after I order. I'm not kidding, every single time. My first shipment from them via UPS took about 4 times that long.
