I snuff as well and I wouldn't recommend snuff to give up smoking with. IMO it isn't strong enough whereas snus definately is. I just snuff for enjoyment and to complement the snus. It also gives my gums a rest from the snus.

Personally if you're giving up cigs - I'd go hard at the snus and the snus only but just occasionally take a snuff. If you snuff all day it can block up your nose as well and what goes up must come down.

Snuff is a very strong sensory experience that hits you quick. I think it is a great mental replacement for cigs, but it should be used to compliment snus (when you are initially quitting). You definitely get some nicotine from snuff, but snus is what will keep the real cravings away.

As far as what to start with, some Poschl is a good suggestion. The main reason I would suggest Toque is because the flavors are very simple and easy to enjoy/identify. Either way, you're going to end up trying them both if you start snuffing.

I love gawith apricot, and the ozona president, as well as rapberry. They are yummy and prefer them when I'm craving cigs (or at least I did before all the evil smoker friends killed it for me last week, but I will start snuffin again soon, I look forward to it.)
