How Much Can I Order For Freshness?

How much snus can I order and expect it to stay fresh?
I am thinking of ordering 16 cans.

    thanks!

PS- Is it OK to swallow the juice? I have been.
How about drinking coffee while snusing?

Yep... it's ok to swallow! For long shelf life, I'd go with the Oomph product line available at Northerner. They are dry and will last forever.

Coffee is the way to go. I just started snus and had to buy some decaf coffee because the combination was so good, I was drinking coffee all day and all night.

I think coffee and snus is like winning the taste lotto.

same here...but i cant stand decaf...just tastes weird to me.

to the OP 16 cans is fine especially if you keep them in the freezer, and the juice is ok to swallow

A lot of decaf actually hurts my stomach. If I were going to eliminate caffeine from my life(yea right :^P), I'd switch to herb tea. I have 250+ tins in my freezer. I think you'll be ok with 16 :^D

Between 20 and 30 cans, if you store them in the fridge, as recommended, and if you use about one can in three days like most people here.

Actually, if you keep in mind that the best before date is just a rough guideline with little to no meaning (meaning that only connoisseurs will be able to detect slight differences in taste, when a snus is 3 months past the best before date.), you can easily order double as much. The best before date has nothing to do with a decay of the snus - the stuff is practically unrottable - only the flavourings fade away a little

The freezer is another topic. I've never used it, but I trust people who use frozen snus that is two years old and say that it tastes nearly like fresh.

                Cheers!

I usually get about 30 cans at a time and always keep them in the freezer (except the 3-4 open ones which I keep out (non-refrigerated)).

The frozen ones thaw in a few hours and always taste fresh.

I don't think I've ever had so much as a sip of decaf in my life, at least not intentionally. Nor have I ever had tobacco-free snus and non-alcoholic beer!

250+ cans lx? wow. I'm excited about my ~ 45.

                      Cool.

Would someone tell Mark Twain to not be such a woose about ordering too many on the other thread.
He has said he is not a former smoker. Doesn't he know we like our snus strong and nasty and freshness
is not our immediate concern. :-)

How would storing 20-30 cans in a Ziploc bag be? Fridge? Tupperware tub?

                      thanks!

Not everybody uses snus at the same rate. So don't go by the number of cans. Go by date instead.
Everything you'll use within 12-16 weeks will be fine in the fridge, everything else put in the freezer.

I'm with you on the snus and the beer... I would love to not drink decaf, but I don't sleep much as it is so it was either decaf or no coffee at night

A ziploc will do next to nothing to preserve your snus by itself. Ditto for tupperware. Just throw them in the fridge like everyone else, any ones you don't expect to use put in the freezer. In the fridge/freezer, you can use ziplocs or tupperware if it makes you feel better, but it probably won't really do much.
