Give it a few more days. I had some gum tenderness at first, too, but they're toughening up now.

Hang in there, it does normalize...I promise. I too was a smoker, and putting tobacco in my mouth was completely new to me. The gum pain/burn, and the juice making my throat burn a bit....it was different for certain. I used a bottle to water to ease the burn, and kept moving the portions from one side of my mouth to the other until I got used to it, won't take too long. Hang in there, you're almost to the promised land, lol!

Welcome to the world of Snus! I switched from cigarettes to Snus a little while ago. At first its a bit tough to get used to, but you will learn to love it. Eventually the burning sensation will go away, and you learn how to reduce dripping. I find now I salivate less when I have a portion in, and I still have very little drip after an hour and a half.

Dying for my 2nd and 3rd orders to arrive. No cig today, lightly miss sometimes but is more routine based than anything, so should fade I imagine. Need those minis for work

                  Cool!
I had quit regular smoking before I found snus, but I'd occasionally smoke, like when I visted my smoking father, or hung out with smoking friends, but now that I snus, I have no desire to smoke at all, and on the rare times I do, I find it unpleasant. I smoked one of those new Marlboro Special Blends last Saturday night, after a lot of vodka, and it made me feel bad, even the next day.

Quick question, I'm going to get some los, do you vary the click by regular versus sterk versus extra sterk? Seems cheaper to use extra sterk and load a bit less?

I had quit for a time on the patch, but truth be told I just like the nicotine and now I'm pretty stoked to be able to get the hit in such a tasty and less harmful way. I think it's feeling like I didn't have to give up something I enjoy that really generates the noobcitement I have

Stay with it. As time goes by your desire to smoke will decrease. I would smoke when visiting friends who smoke but now I don't want anything more to do with them.

You can... I don't really do starks. I like 2 clicks on the IceTool; no more, no less. If I have a stark for whatever weird reason, I'll short it a bit, but I don't like the mouth feel as well. If I use the full 2 clicks, it's too much nicotine.

I vary between regular and strong now, has really helped me to not frantically think about cigs. Just thinking I could go with strong and vary the pack a bit depending on the urge, etc. Extra is a bit too much for my needs.

Thanks for the help and extra years of life.

Throw in a sterk in place of your first morning cigg, you'll be amazed. All of us ex smokers who quit with snus know that first cigg in the morning is one of the hardest to get past - definately a good time for a sterk, or even better an ektra sterk. And dont worry about the gums, after a few weeks you'll have the "gums of steel" we all talk about.

One thing for the ph moisture gurus, I have been taking two cans to work and noticed those portions have lost their effectiveness. I refrigerate at night, but I just opened a new tin and wow, nicotine is back. Any advice? Cigs were temporarily calling out to me.
