Hello from St.Louis

I'm new to Snus as of four weeks ago when I got my first order from GetSnus. So far i'm loving it! This has been the best way for me to get off the smokes for sure! I figured I would sign up and say hi. There is a boat load of things to read around here, looks like you have a great forum!
So far here's what I've tried:

General Portion - Think its great, goes good with beer
OffRoad Original Portion- meh its ok, not good enough to buy more
Cranberry Portion- Think its good, not over flavored, not good with beer.

Phantom Classic Brown Portion- Better than Offroad
Blue Portion- Think its great, almost like General

Nick and Johnny Strong- wow packs a punch, great with coffee

Rota Lacket White- mmm tasty, good to throw in and mix it up

Next up: Göteborgs Rapé White Portion

Any ideas on what to try next are most welcome

Welcome to SnusOn! Looks like you've made some good choices so far. Not a fan of anything OffRoad, but some like it enough . . . If you like the Roda, make sure to try Gote Rape #2 also, personally I like it waaay better than #1. And get you some Thunder Frosted if you want a good kick to get you off them smokes for good!

And don't let these guys lie to you - General Wintergreen is the best snus ever made! LOL. Vegans don't like it because due to their lack of protein it causes erectyle dysfunction(discussed in another thread), and monkeys don't like it because it causes chronic masturbation. (LOL you'll see what I mean. . .)

My advice is to try them all, or as many as you can. You'll find the ones you like easy enough but continue to explore because you never know how your tastes might mature after a while.

Based on your flavor profile so far I think that you are choosing very distinct snus. On that note I'd go for Onyx next. It's an amped up Gneral...very amped up.

As a companion to General maybe try Grov and or Ettan. I'm heavily biased towards Grov and their black version is intensified Grov similar to how Onyx is to General. I love everything Grov. I'd even use it as an air freshener. Hmmm, now that's got me thinking about that Grov flavor that you can get for the MYO snus...

Thunder is like shooting off a nicotine cannon into your face. I only like the Extra Sterk Portion but can't take more than one in a day. Try that stuff if only to experience the rush people talk about. Odens is wicked strong too.

Again, just go on a mission that every time you order make an investment. Buy one or two more cans of something that you haven't tried before. Think of it as exploration to find the perfect snus. It's different for all of us but finding that right one is magnificent. It's what the snus experience is meant to be. You will only know that truly if you explore many different types. You'll begin to learn how to pick out the subtleties and interpret the reviews and that will help with making exploration choices. By doing this you'll also find stuff that you think is crap. So what there's no financial loss. Trade it here or better yet when you amass a few that you think you won't use either freeze it to try in a few months or sign up for a box pass. Those are a great way to try new snus for only the cost of shipping (not much).

Huh...I also heard that dogs don't like it 'cos it makes them want to eat their own feces, but if you put one under your foreskin you'll be sharp as an ice prick in no time. I mean ice pick.

I won't even begin to tell you why I don't like it...

I’m just west of you in Columbia. I've smoked for 30 years and started to enjoy snus about 10 weeks ago. I’ve been smoke free for 5 or 6 weeks now. Your snus taste will change. My favorites today:

Make sure you also try some white portions at least. Some really prefer those (me for example) to regular portions. And you also have to at least try some los

This is not true. I can't stand wintergreen and I stroke it moAr than ever. In fact, if I even open a tin of General Wintergreen, I have to sit down to pee but shit comes out instead.

Welcome! Göteborgs Rapé is a good choice, a popular snus, but not to everyone's liking. It's a favorite of mine. It's similar to Röda Lacket, but with juniper berries instead of red berries.

Some of the flavored snuses are just mildly flavored, while with others, all you taste is the flavoring. If you like mildly flavored, try Oden's Cinnamon (regular strength or ES). Or you might want to check out General's Lab Series 01 and 02. They mostly taste like tobacco, but there are subtle hints of woody/smoky/nutty flavors.
