Hi, I've been using snus for a week now and have a question about its smell. Virtually all the cans I've tried have that strong tobacco / bergamot smell. I was wondering if this is native to all tobacco or do the snus folks purposefully flavor them this way? I'm asking because I've never liked this smell, even before snus, and thus far have just been trying to tolerate it. It reminds me of old geezers. Anyway, if it's unavoidable then I'll try to get used to it. But are there any medium to strong nicotine snus that dont have this smell?
Right now, I've settled on using General Mint and General White, the most tolerable of all the cans I've tried. All of this is for the sake of my quitting smoking. I don't know if I can do it. If it weren't for the smell it would be a lot easier. It's funny that the first snus I tried were Camel and Marlboro, and neither have that unpleasant smell. They smelled great, actually. But it's unfortunate that neither have the nicotine I need.
Well, thanks in advance for any useful input or advice.
