Snus arrived today!!

So I have these 2 cans that dried out of Skruf Stark and was thinking of a way to charge them up if you will. So I happened to be making a couple of Tuna fish sammiches and got the idea to use the tuna juice, only use tuna in water though. Then put some of the juice in the skruf tins and BAM you are good to go. So a new flavor is born: Snus TUNA! Working on a couple of other blends but so far this seems to be a real hit around the fishing wharf. Another one I am trying is SNUS PICKLE using some of the leftover juice from the pickle jar,,, this one is not quite as subtle as the tuna though but seems to go well with cheeseburgers.

What I did, was dump it in a bowl, and using a small spoon, just added enough water to re-moisten it, and stir it in, and add it back to the can. It worked fine for me.

Tuna juice?..Tuna juice???.. to each his own and god bless brother. I for one, will now try to flavor my Roda Lakett portions with my plant mister and Crown Royal. But hey, that's just me staying true to my alcoholic bloodline. I am loving this forum, freshman that i am, and not alone in strangeness. Thank you Jesus...

Swallowing the juice will not hurt you (this is not dip). However when I first tried a portion I got an overload of juice and it gave me the hiccups (not niccups but real hiccups).

Anyway, keep a little bottled water with you when you first put in a portion and if you feel the juice building wash it down with a swig of water. It keeps you from spitting and it really helps with the overdose of juice. The portion will settle down in about 3-5 minutes and you will be just fine.

Also, you will need to learn the ol dippers trick of drinking but redirecting the liquid away from the tobacco in your mouth (a wet portion will only juice more- oh surprise- and then go flat pretty quick).

Also remember the further back you place the portion in the mouth, the more juice. The closer you keep it to the front, the less juice.

Yep Tuna..... I won't tell you what I did one time with a tin..... Ok.... I will tell you but it can't leave here or I will get my ass kicked. Anyways,, I was at a bar drinking a beer and had a tin on the table next to me and these two muscle heads with no necks were right beside me drinking at the bar. One of them saw the tin and didn't recognize the name however they were chewing Kodiak chew. The one guy asked me what it was and I said Snus and he said you mean snuff? I said no SNUS! and told him what it was and the history of it and etc.... they both laughed at me and said that is girly shit in the pouches!! So I said yah girls like it too and it is really good. The one guy said he wanted to try one and I said ok,,, but I have another tin in my car so let me get it and I will be right back. So I went to the car and got another tin out put a few in there and pissed in it!!! (Just a little, not too much cuz you really could over do it in those tins) put the cap on shook it around a little and went back in. I told them they could try it and the one eagerly popped one in his mouth and then next guy took one. So I asked them what do you think? pretty good huh? the one guy says this taste horrible and spit it out and the other guy trying to be a "tough guy" kept his in for a couple minutes and then spit it out and he didn't like it either. They said it was the worst taste and how can anyone pack those? I said it takes a real man to chew these and then put another in my lip and they got up and left.

I don't care who you are, that's some funny shit right there. Reminds me of a thing we did to a roomie when i was single a long time ago. Shoved his toothbrush up the dogs ass, and put it back in the holder. We laughed every time he came out of the bathroom. Remind me to never drink with you though.

One other option and this seems to be the best tasting is to use espresso to moisten them up. One could say why not use a lemon or an orange squeeze? You could and that would be just as good but I would imagine you could end up with some foul tasting pouches if you didn't keep em cold or use them up quickly as the juice may render some fungi. Maybe we should have a thread on "moisterizing" with the proper methods and liquids one uses to get that proper moistness and flavor techniques? Someone mentioned a spray mister already with some Crown,,,, see! where can we go with this?

I moistened a little bit of General loose last week with some Presidente brandy. It was pretty good, but not a real powerful alcohol flavor like you would think. I'm thinking about buying a few of those tiny bottles of better liquor, and keep them on hand for flavoring my snus up a bit.
Oh yeah... I used an empty portion can to try it out, so I didnt waste a 3/4 full can of snus. I only put about 1/8 of a full can into the empty can. Then i added .5mL of brandy with an oral syringe. Shake it up real good and let it sit for a bit and shake again.
