Swallow salivas or not ?

Hi snusers, i would like to ask you if you are swallowing salivas or not.
I am new in snus, so its better to ask before ..
I used Skoal where it is needed to spit. Now i ordered swedish snus (gotheborgs rape and skruf).
I heard, that's not needed to spit out salivas. So how is it ?

Almost everybody swallows, and it's the traditional method. I doubt I'd snus, at least as a regular thing if spitting were involved.

When I first started using snus, I spit out of fear from horror stories I heard about dip. Once I got over the fear, I was fine and never got sick from it.

When I 1st started snus, I put the portion too far back, plus my body was not used to it, and I would get alot of juice, and heartburn, and I'd have to spit. In time, and repositioning my snus, I did not have to spit at all. For me, the biggest plus of snus, is not having to spit. I could probably do it, but at work, I'd rather not spit, so I would not do dip or chew at work. If I didn't have snus, I'd just wait till I got home to use some dip/chew.

If I hillbilly pinch it (just putting it in like a dip except in the upper lip), I'll spit once or twice initially just to get the loose bits out. If I lower lip it I have to bake it tight, but I still only spit minimally, not near as much as dip.

I never used to be a swallower but now I am comfortable with it. At first i would get the hiccups real bad but not in a long time and i even double pack most of the time and I put it all the way back in my mouth not in the front as it tends to fall out when I smoke cigars or eat something with it in. I have even swallowed the puches before and it never bothered me nor the next day in the morning. Once you become an avid user the possibilities are endless with snus so enjoy it and don't spit, swallow!

I started out with Cope at the age of 14............I enjoy expectorating as part of the experience and do the same with snus.

Jimbob if you're lower lipping snus you'll need to spit but if you're using it as intended you shouldn't really need to unless the dip habituation is just too difficult to overcome. It doesn't really hurt anything to spit but you're missing one of the primary advantages of snus which is the lack of need to do so when it's inconvenient or just plain uncool. For example--movies, offices, doctor's waiting rooms, your mother's house, hospital rooms, riding a bike/motorcycle, swimming, restaurants, meetings, on top of telephone poles, Tig welding, at the gym, changing a starter, mowing the lawn, etc, etc,---any activity that requires a bit of discretion and/or the use of both hands. Such a deal.
