I've been lurking for the last two months and thought it was time to register. I've found snuson to be a great resource and a pretty vibrant community - Thanks!

My Dr. suggested I use snus to quit my cigarette habit. I Haven't had a cigarette since my 1st portion....it's been two months...Just enough time to have placed a couple of orders, figure out what I enjoy, get hooked, and get squashed by PACT -

Now I'm in Northerner limbo: Credit card charged, my pending order has disappeared, and no reply from customer service. I'm trying to be patient and understanding, but ~

In other news... There are about 30 threads on Northerner/Getsnus issues.

PACT sucks. The new FDA rules suck.

I suspect that everything will all get worked out within a week or 2. I don't know of anyone that has actually been cheated by Northerner. LaZer even got his shirt. So, you're probably just delayed for a bit while temporary issues are ironed out.

Is there any Swedish Match snus you like? North Carolina seems to have several B&M stores that sell snus.

Welcome snusnoose, Northerner/GetSnus are getting pounded right now. They are trying to shore up orders I'm sure yet walk the line of keeping their 'ducks in a row' with the new FDA and PACT BS. Believe me, I know it's frustrating, been there done that myself. Just keep after it = best to PM Fredrik here on the boards and/or use their respective customer inquiry forms on the websites.

They will make it right in the end. I know that's not much help when your strung out waiting for your snus. Before you switch back to cigs, try maybe double barreling some *cough* Camel frosts OR grab up some dip pouches - but You'll likely want to spit with these.

I know this is blasphemy, but...

I had some Camel and some Marlboro in the freezer... And after a can of Roda Lacket... I pulled them back out.

They are usable. Maybe even "Not bad"... And I even like the portion size/feel/shape of the Camel. The Marlboro portion is still bad feeling, but a pair of scissors to remove the corners and it is a bit better.

So, I'm going to use them up this week.

Fortunately I have enough in the freezer to keep me straight until the Northerner nonsense is sussed out. I just want what I want when I want it.... What's in the freezer doesn't necessarily reflect my current tastes / desires.

There is a retailer in my area that carries the majority of General products excluding Onyx, Sterk, and Extra Sterk. Last time I was there they only had a couple o' cans of the wintergreen. Slim picken's. The guy told me their order is months overdue.

@danielan Yeah - my doctor is a rare gem. I work in the harm reduction field and have very progressive colleagues. Definitely a keeper!

I'm finding that if I just put it in and don't mess with it, it is pretty good.

If you mess with it with your tongue - it's very sweet.

Also, it's good to rinse your mouth out afterward.

I get that too at mine. They say their distributor is out of stock. They've been saying this for months. It seems like a bad thing when SM is trying to penetrate the market for your distributor to be out of stock.

Welcome, snusnoose! Yeah, a lot of folks here are having problems regarding supply right now. Blame it on our brainless politicians and PACT. GetSnus/Northerner is trying their best, I think, but I suspect they've run into a lot of problems they didn't anticipate.

I can actually tolerate these to. Only problem for me is they have no friggen nicotine in them OR at least what my needs are. I suppose in a pinch I could suck on these whilst tooting some F.U.B.A.R, Dhokalia White, and/or Rooster...

Personally I'm starting to 'experiment' again with some dip so I have a backup if/when we can't reasonably obtain snus as the current climate indicates that very likely possibility in the near/far future. Tried to get the damn Grizzly Natural Snuff Pouches - can't find them anywhere... Tmrw my quest will put me in search of some TimberWolf natural packs(Pouches) - hoping to have better luck finding these. I'm still working through a 1/3 tin of friggin Copenhagen Straight LC loose which I'm not really fond of = too damn sweet, not enough teebaccer taste for my liking + I really prefer at least 'pretending' that I'm a step over my once longgggggg 30+ year habit of the messy Copenhagen finecut Snuff with the shit getting stuck in my teeth and the fiberglass wearing ridges in my gums...
