Hi, i ordered a mix box of snus and got all kinds. So far i have sampled almost all of them. They all seem to have a kinda bitter taste with a sour juice that tends to make me cringe to swallow. So far the only one i found pleasurable is Thunder Extra Stark Frosted. Is there other good snus's for a beginner to start off with? Does your taste eventually get used to the other flavors?

Welcome crook. Your taste will change as you become more accustomed to the flavor profile of Swedish snus. The frosted flavor (Thunder, Offroad) is a good starter as well as General mint and (if you like wintergreen [but many here do not]) Jakobsson's wintergreen is the best IMO. General ia also good but the portions have a habit of opening up on you.
Also, Roda Lackett and Goteborg's Rape # 2 are good fruity (Berryish) snus to try out.
The Gotlands line is also delicious. Flader is a salty apple flavor (delicious) and the Gul (yellow) is a natural citrus and evergreen flavor.
Really, the best thing to do is try everything you can and keep going back as time progresses to the snus you ddid not like. Chances are, you will grow to like them. If not, pop them on the exchange.

You'll get used to the flavors within a week or so, and be able to better taste the tobacco flavor.
Don't give up, and if you find something you don't like right now, put it in the freezer and come back to it later. You may find your tastes change some.

Originally posted by crookscomp View PostI got General regular portions, Catch eucalyptus white, Skruf tranbar portion, Offroad cranberry, Olde Viking spearmint(have not tried yet), Thunder extra stark frosted and blue, Jakobssons Ice fruit, Goteborgs Rape, Ettan white portion, Odens extra stark (licorice flavor it tastes like to me but i had to spit it out right away LOL) and Kronan white. The Kronan was ok but so far the Thunder frosted is been the one i keep wanting to go to.
Just give it time and enjoy. And, welcome to SnusOn.

Freezer is best for long-term storage (and for those you might want to eventually try again).
Toss the open cans in vacuum-seal (Ziploc) bags or containers, or at least in freezer Ziploc bags.
Take them out as needed; some users will lip them frozen, others thaw in the fridge overnight.
YMMV
Oops -- musta been typing when you posted, myuserid!!

Snus is an aquired taste, I believe, based on myself, and friends. It's just so totally different than what Americans are used to, esp when it comes to tobacco. When I 1st tried it, the Swedish stuff, I thought everything was like a little bag of salt. I suffered through it a bit, but ended up quitting it. I went to nasal snuff, but then when I was having sinus issues, I decided to give snus another go, and it did take me about a week of regular use to get acclimated to the taste.
