New to the forum and Snus!

Hello all,

I just wanted to drop in and say thank you for all the good information I have read on this forum, I recently started using snus to quit smoking and it has been working out well! I have only recieved one order from Buysnus.com and it arrived in only 5 days with UPS here in SC with a holiday weekend. I thought I would try out a few different types, and I cant wait until my next order on the 15th! My wife and I are on a budget so I'm only allowed $140.00 worth of tobacco a month, so its 70 dollars give or take per order on the 1st and 15th. My first order only cost me $57.42 not to bad considering I was smoking a 1 1/2 packs x1 day. I look forward to talking to everyone more in the future and meeting some great people that share the same intrest as me in a amazing product. I havent tried them all yet but so far my favorite is the ONYX and the Jakobssons. I posted my order below

Welcome and excellent mix of snus there. You will especially like the Skruf brand I'm guessing.

Elixyr Power Energy portion - Great snus, the taste and aroma may be a bit to get used to at first, but I use it first thing every morning to start the day off.
Gotlandssnus Grönsnus (Green) Portion and 01/02 - These snuses, the Green and the 01/02 line have a very unique taste, I think you'll enjoy them.
Jakobssons Wintergreen Strong Portion - I can't stand Wintergreen myself, but found this snus to be tolerable.
Skruf Cranberry Portion - I'm a big cranberry fan, but for some reason didn't enjoy this one. I think the Offroad Cranberry tastes much better.
Skruf Extra Strong Portion - If you like Skruf, enjoy it while you can and order more if it's still available to you. Skruf confirmed today that they won't be registering with the FDA, so it won't be for sale much longer.
Taboca Snus - Taboca is good stuff. I burned out on it quickly, but it has a really strong, bold flavor.

Just be careful with ordering too much flavoured snus. A lot of people like them when they first start snusing but once your taste buds adapt you may very well lean towards a snus with more tobacco taste like Skruf.
I started out liking Onyx, and General wintergreen and now I can only handle them occasionally.

Welcome bro from another Carolinian. You can never have too many folks from the illustrious state of SC so it's good to have you on board.

I agree with JT...........enjoy the flavored snus but don't over stock................ your taste will change (that does not mean you won't like anything you like now.........it just means your taste will refine a bit)

Try a variety...........freeze what you don't like at first and revisit it in a few months.

I remember when I first started and used to suggest flavored snus to all the newbies, and Sage would jump down my throat and was like, "CHAD! In a year you probably won't even be using much flavored snus, TASTES CHANGE, idiot!" And now, here I am a year later, and I use mostly non-flavored/traditional flavored snuses.

I get the biggest smile when I see new people that have quit smoking using snus. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor.

My advice is to use the strongest snuses for cravings, it seemed to work for me and others. Also, at first at least, don't be shy about popping in a new snus if you feel the need to, this will help to keep your nicotine level steady leaving your body in that "just had a cigarette" state.

Very glad to hear you stopped smoking. I did the same thing, Snus is a GREAT way to get away from stinky cigarettes. If I couldn't snus at work, god knows how many cigarettes i'd be smoking. I'm new to snus as well, (Atleast the real stuff, not the american Camel/Marlboro S***) But good luck, you'll find yourself saving money. A can of snus lasts me a few days. as opposed to going through a pack of cigarettes a day. GOOD JOB!!! Being in the same boat couldn't be happier for you. I'm still waiting on my General Mint! Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll take all your guys advice to heart. Well I talked to the wife and she said If I went to the store and got her some cookies (shes pregnant) she will let me order some more!! Lol so I put in another order going for variety this is what I got
