    new here

    Hi all

At 57 I'm a snus newbie, At my age it's good to be "new" at anything. I'm her because as of this coming Friday, I'm done with smoking and going on the snus, can't wait. I have heard alot of people that smoke say they can't stand the taste of tobacco, not me. I love the darn taste of ANY tobacco, pipes, cigars, cigarettes, and now my favorite snus! Just wish I would have found it years ago. I'm still trying to find my favorites, the thing is I can't say as I have found one I don't like. anyways good day!!!

Welcome and you have found a wonderful forum to learn and share. Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking. It won't be easy but snus will make it possible. I am not sure if they are doing this anymore but they used to have box passes on here. People would throw different kinds of snus in the box and ship it to each other to try. You might want to check and see if that is still happening. Just curious, what brands of snus have you tried so far?

Welcome! I'm 52 and discovered snus earlier this year.

As far as box passes go, the last one was a massive failure due to one person dropping the ball. I suspect there won't be any more anytime soon, but in case I'm wrong, keep your eye on the appropriate threads.

If you love the taste of tobacco, I'd suggest trying Grov. It's the one I think of when I think of a richer, straight up tobacco taste.

The first ever box passed on this forum was stolen thanks to SnusinUSA (evil thief). Yet many more happened since. I would hope they will continue.

                brands and flavors

                hey Govegan

I've tried so many I really can't say what I've tried. I like straight tobacco taste and sometimes a little wintergreen. As far as brands go, Jacobssons, something called Granit. almost anything General. I like the pouches, it makes it easier.

Hey, the important part is that you're doing it, regardless of how old you are. Good for you, man. The people here will help you with knowledge and support. They're great! How long did you smoke and what did you smoke? I was a Camel Lights guy for a long time...then dip...now snus & snuff.

I was going to say that General Wintergreen would be one that is terrible but if you're into that then good. I just hate anything mint/menthol. I'm repulsed by it really. Some of the Offroad ones have mint in them though it's not described. I learned that the hard way.

Grov & Nick & Johnny's are the most solid snus out there IMO. Pure, robust, powerful...and as Jesse Ventura would say "This sh*t will turn you into a sexual tyrannosaurus." Good luck on becoming smoke-free, man! Looks like we've got another convert! Excellent.

Granit is my favorite snus by far! If I had to pick just one brand to use, Granit would be it.

Granit is the only one that makes maxi's anymore right other than Kotex? I kid

I'm excited to try general maxi's that Mr Snuffleupagus sent me. I haven't tried them yet because I've been dealing with a stomach bug with mild fever i'm tryin to get over. So tryin to lay off high nic.
