The more I read through reviews, the more I think I really AM in the minority as to what I like (except for my love of Discreet of course).
I ordered a can of the Elixyr Peppermint during Northerner's free shipping week since getsnus didn't carry it and I wanted to try it. It's not at all like the other Peppermint snus' out there like Mini Mints and Discreet's Cool Mint, but it is something that I would use again once my can is gone. I'd say it's a lighter peppermint with a little bit of a strange sweetness to it, but it was a good sweetness to me. The flavor did last a while for me (over an hour), the portions felt ok to me. It's not what I'd call a "great snus", but it's definitely a pleasant snus in my opinion. -

Elixyr Peppermint is budget priced. That being said, it's definitely worth it's price. The peppermint is good. It's very noticeable, but not totally in-your-face sweet. Nor is it sweet in a very sugary way.
Portion material is average: Nothing bad about the material. Nothing to make them the best ever either.
The only thing I would say negatively is I get the same thing with these as I do with Offroad. If you keep them in for awhile (30+ minutes), you start to get a bit of a 'dirty' taste out of the tobacco. It's not terrible, as I use offroad a lot, but it's something that might turn people off after going through a can.
Long Story Short:
Try it! But don't go buying a roll until after you've finished an entire can of it.
