like the can, could do with toned down bergamot. It's not terrible, just not great... I'll be happy to finish the tin and use it to tote my grov

      I'll give Taboca portions 6/10.

Flavour-wise I find it very bland. I've been working through my tin of this for the last few days. There is a hint of sweetness along with the typical salt, but nothing really stands out in the flavour department. I can't say one way or the other whether I like the taste or not because it really doesn't have much taste at all. I've been doing lös almost exclusively so maybe its harder for me to detect the taste of the more natural tasting portions. I haven't seen it available in lös so I assume it's been discontinued? If so too bad - I would love to try the lös for comparison's sake.

The portion material is top-notch. Very comfortable, well filled and soft. To me that that is a disadvantage for this snus in that not only does it barely taste like anything, you hardly know you are snusing.

I am in the process of cutting down my sterk intake and the nicotine seems adequate to me.

I suppose that if you don't want your snus to interfere with the taste of your favourite beverage this would be a good choice but otherwise it is just too plain in my opinion.

Just had it yesterday - it was in the barrel at the local snus store(which is a candy store but with a big "barrel" in the backroom). I was searching through the barrel without really looking after I had already found a couple of snus's I knew I felt a little metal can that said Taboca.

It's a pretty good day-to-day snus actually - as people have mentioned there seems to be a difference in the quality of the portion-package-thingy. At least something makes it feel a bit smoother.
The taste isn't something that blows you away or very distinct - it's very simple and clean. I like it though, it's a clean nic-hit if you need nothing else.

This is one snus I never tried in the beginning. Even as long as I have been using snus I still never threw a can in. Dont know why.

Anyways, I am mostly a Los user now but there are times and situations where Los will not work, so I keep a stable of portions around for those times.

When I first got this I must admit I like the tin, I missed out when they were metal, at least I believe they were from reading earlier posts.

The big thing with this one for me is the first impression I got after putting in the portion. Gotlands Gul Portions.

Now dont start yelling blasphemy yet, lol, but as we all know somehow Gotlands decided to let Gul disappear, that itself is beyond comprehension, so there is nothing to fill that flavor profile.

With Taboca the Gul undertones come from the bitterness mixed with the bergamot and other flavors. I know this snus is suppose to be traditional flavor, yet for me it is unique enough to stand out from the crowd.

It is not overwhelming and it tastes great. This is my top portion right now along with General Strong, but beats General because once you have had one General flavor you have had them all (minus Onyx- love that stuff) .

You're right Grim - it's the closest to old Gotlands Gul portions currently available. But the flavour is very muted in comparison.

I find them a bit too subtle for my liking - but what flavour there is is very pleasant.

I really liked the minis (they were a lot like long portions but not as wide).....but it seems they have been pulled from production

Weird thing is that usually every brands white and original portion has difference in taste, big or small. But taboca, they taste the same, drip the same amount. Basically everything is the same except for the color of portion :3

Taboca disappeared from the online stores two years ago and I was disappointed. I recently found the Taboca flavors available again and ordered a roll of original portions to see if it was still as good as I remembered. Yes, the flavor is still a nice medium/mild tobacco strength, a touch of citrus, salt and pepper, and the back round flavor which makes this snus unique....Fig we are told. The days of the Taboca metal cans have been gone for a while, I have only seen the plastic cans myself, but the plastic container has a large used portion section and seals well. This is a value priced snus and the can contains just 18 portions which seems fair for the price. The portions are full, comfortable, a full gram I would guess, and medium in the moisture content. The flavor starts and drips quickly and I keep a portion in the lip for an hour or maybe a bit less. I'll still rate this one a 9........
