I really like these mini strongs and they are the only portions I have reordered. Ever.

I don't do portions normally because the drip makes me gag at the 10 minute mark with OP and whites are too abrasive on my gums.

The flavor in this snus is really good.
There is the pronounced bergamot, which has a hint of tangerine zest to it. Behind this is the fig, which I find covered more with the salt than in the los. Tying it all together is the bitterness of the stark tobacco. Very well put together flavor, I might like this more than the los version....almost.

The portions are very well made and VERY comfortable, which is the big winner. Even though minis are less obtrusive than 1 gram portions, when compared to other minis I tried, these are much softer. They are all evenly filled and are plump, not flat so one can still feel them in the lip.

I started (and quickly ended) the search for the best mini due to discretion needed at work. These are strong enough so I don't want to double barrel them and are invisible to coworkers and clients.

There are 20 portions to the can, but since I use them at slightly less than the same pace I use 1g prises of los (due to drip) they are worth the price of discretion.

The tin is slim and metal, so it doesn't look like a can of dip in your pocket. It is painted charcoal black and (even though it is the least important thing to me) looka pretty swanky.

Overall, this is a really good snus and if you are into minis or need the discretion with an adequate dose of nic, check these out.

Great review, Mike. You covered a lot of territory and I agree with your points on Taboca minis. The sterk flavor really does add something special to the flavor of this mini. I keep a bunch of these on hand for use on gigs. The irony is now that I have a supply of the perfect gig snus, the gigs have ground to a halt.

When I say "perfect," for the next guy or gal, it could be Thunder minis. I can see where that would work. But the 6mg is a pretty good spot, and I love the rich flavor and pleasing slight bitterness of the Taboca Strong Minis.

I am in agreement with what has been said. This is the best mini that I have had yet.

One thing that was not mentioned is the aroma.
Although I can't really describe it (fresh citrus?), it smells great.

After I saw your post, I decided to smell the tin again to see if that is what I detected. The only can I had next to me had been empty for 6 hours (lid on).
It had a totally different aroma.
The citrus smell was gone and it smelled just like a really good cigar.

If you have an empty tin of it, give it a whiff...

i love these. i like them a lot more than the thunder frosted minis. will probably buy more of these in the future.

This has been my daily go-to snus as of late. As a fairly new snus'er, I'd like to offer my amateur opinion on this one.

For those familiar with nasal snuff, Wilson's Best SP is the closest thing to which I can compare the flavor and aroma of this snus. The slightly sweet presence of fruit, fig I believe, and the pleasant undertones of bergamot make this snus easily compatible with even a beginner's palette - I took right to it. I find that the slimmer, slightly elongated portions fit along the gum line more naturally than the pillow shaped pouches of General, for example. The nicotine comes on strong, but steady, and seems to last the duration of the portion. They're easily stronger than a standard mini, and only slightly less potent than a full portion; though I do find that the nicotine seems to come on more quickly than a full portion.

The only cons I've found with this snus is the short life of the flavor, and the resulting bitterness afterward. I typically keep portions in for at least an hour, sometimes longer. These, after about 45 minutes, lose the fruitiness and quickly develop a stale flavor. I enjoy these so much though, that this is really a superficial complaint. Even taking the bitterness into account, I still give this snus 5 out of 5 stars.

And the snus comes in a sharp looking metal tin to boot!
