Granit Portion

I took my own advice from my previous review of Lucky Strike OP and waited until I finished my can of Granit before reviewing it.
This is a very solid "economically priced" snus. No quality control problems to speak of with respect to the pouches and amount (I counted 24 portions exactly upon opening).
F&L are the same fine company that produce Lucky Strike snus. Even though Granit doesn't have the same toasted smokey flavour as LS, I find they both have an underlying similarity. I can't describe it, perhaps I am being fooled as the pouch material seems exactly the same and both seem a bit saltier than other snus I have tried.
Others draw comparisons between Granit and General which I can certainly see. Its definitely not "exotic", but this can be viewed as a good thing as you might not burn out from it.
Granit OP is a snus that provides a perfect balance of flavour and value. It's a consistent and dependable snus that doesn't overwhelm so it might be easy for all of us new snus'ers to move on to other brands.
Don't be fooled though, as Granit will make you realize that once you are done trying new varieties, this one will be there for you.

Granit OP can be summed up fairly easily:
It tastes like General OP, but slightly dirtier.
I love the stuff, don't get my wrong, it just doesn't taste quite as clean as General. The flavor is pretty darn close though. It is slighty different (more bitter maybe?), but you aren't really going to beat Granit for quality, taste, and economy.

Granit Original is a good economy snus. The tobacco smells of high quality, similar to Lucky Strike, but has a unique "clean" odor and flavor. I would guess there is a very slight juniper flavorant in Granit. My only complaint is the portion size; the sachet is pretty wide and hangs below the gum line. Anyone looking to save a buck should try Granit, since its the best value priced snus available.

I like Granit; it's kind of similar to LD and in the General (no pun intended) neighborhood, but just for my own taste, I prefer General, and then LD. I think it's the tobaccos used; also, it seems to me that General has less bergamot than the other two, and that this tends to make the flavor a little more interesting. It interplays with the tobacco (from whence, I believe, comes that "peppery" flavor), and isn't just BERGAMOT and (tobacco), the way the others, such as Granit, seem to be in comparison, to me anyway.
But, you know, some people (like The Other Vegan ) are going to prefer that. That's snus for ya.
