Bruh, this is my first new snus IN YEARS and I really am enjoying it.
In the tin there is a clean fruity smell that dominates. Citrus and red berries, but not overwhelming. Little hint of windex…err fresh tobacco…smell in there but nothing like Phantom Blue (RIP).
the portion is well packed with a touch of room to shape it the way you like, and slim portions are the best for me as they keep the pouch off my gumline. The material is a comfy white portion material and doesn’t get slimy like some others may as it starts to juice up.
The flavor is complex, tart/citrus red fruit that seems floral but not “flowery” dominates up front but there is a lot going on here, and manages to convey freshness and depth without being sweet. I am only on my first tin of this, but I’m glad I bought a roll. I get minimal tobacco flavor on the front end, but as sits in the lip (+20 minutes) the fruitiness turns to a clean and light herbal/woodsy tobacco flavor. Well balanced and very tasty, my compliments to the chef. The drip is good and doesn’t bother my throat. Good nicotine content, regular strength the way I like it.
Over all, excellent snus. I really dig this and would love to try it in a los. I bet it would give Roda Lackett a serious run for its money (and Lundgrens, if you see this please go with a coarser grind on the Los, for me…I’m selfish).
I would love to hear opinions on the Skåne sterk vs Claq Qui (I never had it…I found snus just as it was discontinued) but I can dream.
