It has a mild sweetness, more than Gen Mint but far less than any of the excremental Camel offerings, that isn't off-putting at first but there doesn't seem to be a palatable complexity or character to the underlying tobacco that merits keeping a portion in over about 20 minutes. It just goes unpleasantly "off" somehow and after a half hour, at most, getting rid of the portion becomes a strong imperative even as one realizes that there might be nic left to exploit. Guess I just don't respond well to whatever leaf Jaks is using to make its product because I feel the same way about their Classic Strong and to a lesser extent the Wintergreen. Not terrible but a goodish distance from great. I did go through a whole can but that's more because of my own improvidential finances than any critical consideration.

Just got 3 cans of this today , nice mint taste not as strong as General Mint which is still my favorite mint snus , but I will enjoy this for as long as the 3 cans last me but I wouldn't buy it again , bit we'll see as others said it is a grower and I know tastes change in Snusing
Jaks WG on the other hand is still one of my all time Favorites ...
Update : well after killing a can of this I must say it really did grow on me !! and is now far and away better IMO than general mint

I've been using this about a week now. I finally got tryed this out. So I kinda like and don't like it. It has pretty fine taste. It has that minty cooling effect and so. It's one of the first sweet swedish snuses I've tested now. So I think it's pretty good for occasional use but I could not use it daily. It just burns too hard which I don't very much like at all. So I don't really know do I like it or not.

My guess is this phenomenon is pretty common but I too have had a change of heart so to speak. My Northerner order is finally on the way (yeah!) but of the two cans I have, the General Mint White portion and regular General White portion, they were equal at first. Yet after going through a half a can of each the Mint is getting better and the regular is getting worse as far as preference

I think this snus is totally awesome. Much better than Thunder Frosted in my opinion. However, the nicotine level is a little bit to much for regular use. It's fantastic a couple of portions per day on well selected occasions though. But the flavor is amazing! I don't normally care for sweet snus, but this is just perfect. And it's not that sweet either I think...
A regular strength portion with the same flavor would be a godsend!

I always ordered a roll of general mint in every order. After trying the Jak Mint, I don't much care for General anymore. This mint flavor is richer and more enjoyable. It's stronger and burns less but tastes much better. The Original portion means instant flavor. It's a wonderful morning snus.

I must say I still like General Mint a little better than the Jakobbson's but it is getting closer quick. I put in a fresh portion and started cleaning the house for a birthday party and think I shaved about 30 minutes off the normal time. Nic kinda crept up on me and sped me up a bit I thinkI noticed for me it tastes better if at room temp versus fridge or frozen but thee is still this artificial character in the background that I don't get with General...General just tastes more clean to me overall.

Definitely the number one mint snus in my book. I order a roll every time I run out.
The nic hit is very nice, just like a Sterk snus should be. Flavor comes on strong but not overpowering, leaving your mouth feeling nice and minty. The snus also smells like fresh mint as well, with a hint of sweetness. With respect to General Mint, Jakobsson's Strong Mint seems a little less sweet, although it has a more pronounced mint flavor; Even so, the tobacco shines through with just the right intensity. This is definitely a premium snus product.
The pouches are nice and plump forming a pillow shape, as all Gotlands snus products are, with an extremely smooth portion material that never irritates the gums. As with all Gotlands products, the cans are extremely well made, sealing nice and tight with a captivating brand and can design.
My only gripe with the new Gotlands products (including Jak's Strong Mint) is the portion count, as there are only 20portions/can. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering every roll you purchase, you are losing 40 portions compared to other snus products that contain the normal 24portions/can. Regardless, I would recommend this to anyone interested in a mint flavored snus.
