I have to say that amongst Estonian snuser this snus is going to be really popular, been handing out portions all weekend, got 2 portions left of this, everybody who tried it, loved the smell and long lasting taste.
      Good job Gotlandssnus!

I got this in the mail yesterday. When I opened the envelope I thought there was an air freshener it. Portions were nice and moist. Flavor reminds me of watermelon bubblegum, tasty! it seems to last a while to boot. Certainly worth a try if you're feeling in the mood for something different that isn't minty or bergamotty.

I just got mine today and I agree with the watermelon bubblegum comparison. It is absolutely delicious. The flavour loves you long time. It reminds me of summer, which is welcome on a cold night like tonight. My wife likes the smell and is going to try one tonight and she doesn't even snus! I have a feeling that may change now. By far my favourite Jakobsson's portion and I will be ordering many more.

I got a can today and it is definitely what they say it is MELON. The buublegum smell almost put me off but it is certainly melon. Same Gotlands quality moist, fat portions. I will say however I'm glad I only got one can. They did a great job with it the flavor is just a little too out there for me to use even as a dessert snus.

Now that I've used almost a full can of the Melon Strong, I thought I'd share my thoughts. This is a very interesting flavor for snus and very well crafted IMO. It smells pretty much like a watermelon Jolly Rancher candy, like a mix between bubble gum and watermelon as others have said already. The taste is pretty much the same as the smell but it really does fit nicely with the tobacco like Justin said. It took me a while to figure out what exactly it reminded me of but I figured it out. To me it tastes exactly like musk melon or what the stores in the US call cantelope (even though it's not really a cantelope). I would suggest everyone try this even if you don't prefer flavored snus. It's a very interesting flavor. Personally, I'm not fond of flavored snus or portions so it won't be a staple for me. But I will buy it in limited quantities like I have been doing with the Wintergreen Strong and Mint Strong because I like them once in a while. I think Jacobssons has done a fantastic job on all three of these flavours. The flavours, tobacco, portion quality, and packaging on this line-up is top notch and should do very well especially in the targeted US market.

Take a Sour Apple and Watermelon Jolly Rancher. Add in a pinch of Double Bubble bubble gum and that's what this tastes like. It's really quite good and definitely different than anything I've had before.

That said, I have a feeling that due to how big the flavor is in this, it could turn on you in an instant. I'd advise sparing use. I can see myself getting sick of this if I were to go through a few cans in a row.

Other than the flavor it's classic Jak's: Great portions and tobacco quality.

This snus along with a couple new minis are the only reason I placed my most recent order. I was very surprised with the watermelon...I was expecting a subtle flavor with undertones of salt..I was wrong about both. You could hand a portion to a friend and tell them to guess the flavor, it wouldn't be hard as the flavor is that pronounced. Is there ANY salt in these portions because I couldn't find any. This is in my opinion, is the most sweet snus to come out of Sweden, more so than their w/g and I love it!! This is like a dessert it is that good and it will be used accordingly, when my sweet tooth strikes, I could never solely use this snus. But..good things are coming from this company and a flavor like this in a strong mini would be an insanely good snus to introduce more women to. Trust me, not saying that this is a girly snus, only that many women would be more open to trying a non-traditional flavored tobacco product I'd love to see Gotlands come out with a sweet cinnamon, I know they could pull this off Look at Camel's forum, many recall their Spice (cinn) flavor and miss it..here is Gotlands chance to fill that void

This is an interesting snus, and quite unlike any I've had before. The scent is strong, easily escaping the sealed tin. Opening the tin, the first scent is watermelon(surprise!), but sticking my nose inside, and breathing deep brings up the scent of sour apple. I guess it's still watermelon, but sour apple is what immediately comes to mind. Weird...

As is typical for Jakobssons, the portions are plump, with a good moisture content. First thought when putting the portion in my mouth is "bubblegum". The stock flavor that bubblegum is, though I don't know what you'd call it. After that, the melon flavor comes up from the back, and for the next 15 minutes or so trades places back and forth with the bubblegum. There's a mild tartness, and the trademark Gotlandssnus bitterness lingers in the background with medium sweetness.

After 15 minutes, it mellows out and the melon flavor dominates, still with the bitterness, and the sweetness nicely attenuated. I still get a bit of sour apple in the background, but I think I'm just confusing that with the melon due to lack of familiarity. One hour in, and the flavor is still holding up well, though it is muted as one would expect.

All told, this is another fine addition to the Jakobsson's American lineup. I specify American, as I think this flavor will be especially appealing to American tastes. For me personally, I'm more of a traditionalist as far as snus flavors go, and as most of you are aware, I use use lössnus almost exclusively. I highly recommend it to everyone, and suspect it will become the favorite of many.

As an aside, the clumsy English is still on the back of the tin...

"Jakobsson's uniquely snus was early recognized thanks to it's special blend..."

                    Tsk Tsk guys :^P
man you got that spot on LX. I just tried a portion. But first I stuck my nose in it and I was like **** no. Then I put a portion in and for the first 60 seconds I'm going eww eww yuck wtf and makin all kinds of faces my wife asked wtf is wrong with me. seriously. It quickly mellowed. Currently its been in for maybe 5 minutes. Theres a reason I like coffee/vanilla and I don't use any other flavor. But Jimmy did good this time. Well.....he does good all the time but this snus I think I will be useing. Its a great change. Surprized as I am....I really like it. I just hope it has the satisifying effect as an after dinner snus.

@ Desi, The sweetest snus from sweden I think would be the Triumph Mint. Tho it was only marketed in the USA it was made in sweden but I don't know by how. I tried for a year to figure that out and never got an answer. I still have a few tins ssealed up in the freezer. I think this would be #2 in sweetness for sure. Yes this is a snus to convert smokers with....in the US anyway. Have I told you lately that I love you? My tonge is getting itchy.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

Oh yea..I totally forgot about Triumph! Such a shame that failed yet General icky mints continue on Oddly, my tongue too is itching now, not quite sure if it is for Triumph or PP's magical touch...we'll just say it must be for the latter

There really is nothing i can add to these reviews but i just have to say that this is one of the most amazing tasting snus flavors i have had. Not one i would use more than a few times a day mind you, but one heck of a treat when i do. Spot on, what a fantastic creation!

This would be the perfect snus for introducing prospective newbies to the joys o' snus if it came in a regular 8mg portion. Of course in a world of Odens Extreme and Thunder Raw it's not all that heady but for the uninitiated the possibility of a quick trip to the porcelain bus would not be an experience conducive to repetition.
