I tried one can of Gotland's Yellow portion a few weeks back in a shipment of brands that I've been meaning to try since I started snusing. I've tried all three types of Gotlandssnus since then and I must say the Yellow is by far my favorite. The flavor is fairly complex, with a lemon/orange/citrus flavor being the strongest component followed by a peppery, spicy flavor with a slight taste of salt. While it might sound similar to General Onyx, I find this snus to have more of a natural, herbal flavor than GO (I find Onyx portions to have a slightly more "syrupy" texture to it after keeping it in for a while). The portions themselves are drier than most "original" portions but the tobacco itself is moist and the portion, while slightly fuller than other brands, is still very comfortable.

All in all, this is one of my early favorites and I will definitely be buying more soon--if you're into earthy, herbal tobacco flavors I certainly recommend it!

After a long stint with only a few varieties of snus, I decided to place an order of snus I have not yet tried. Out of the selection, Gotlands Yellow Portions were by far my favorite.

The unique "clean" smell of Gotlandssnus seeps from the can, which is no surprise. I would describe the odor as herbal, similar to green tea. This snus smells unlike any other brand available.

The portions material is dry, yet the tobacco is very moist, similar to Skruf products. The flavor is absolutely wonderful. Hints of citrus and herbs along with a clean tobacco taste give it complexity. As well, the flavor lasts a very long time. While most portion snus dies out after one hour, Gotlands stays strong for over two hours.

I'm really glad I picked up a can of Gotlands Yellow. It surprisingly rivals Grov for being dependable and consistent. This may end my love affair with Grovsnus Portions.

I just popped in my first portion of Gotland gul this morning and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed. I'd ordered a can of the loose around halloween, but just didn't love it. I thought it was good, but not as good as my General standbys. The citrus & bergamot in this snus is really nice, well pronounced but not overly in-your-face. The tobacco itself has a nice earthiness with hints of herbs, and has just enough salt without overpowering the other flavors. It reminds me almost of Gote Rapé, but with more citrus & bergamot. As snusjus stated, they do last quite a while, and the nicotine seems to come on slowly but steadily, lasting for a couple of hours before you're craving another. If you like a nice bergamot snus or are a new snuser getting into more traditional flavorings, this is a must try!

A great traditional Swedish tasting snus with hints of citrus and slight spice and saltiness.

Found the portions smelt as good as they tasted, a real fresh feel to them.

Portion material similar to Skruf (dry on outside/moist inside) (just the way I like them)

I would love to see a Stark version of this snus.
