This stuff is brilliant. Clean, fresh, bright, a little complex but not overly complicated--and a little goes a long way. Too much can be overwhelming.

I've changed my mind. I swallowed a bit on accident and the taste is burned in my memory. As soon as I smell it, I don't want it anymore. I know I know, I'll come back to it and all that. But there's no way I'll finish the rest of the roll...

This is my favorite los. Not overly salty and has a unique subtle taste of evergreen (no, not wintergreen lol). Some citrus and acidic taste in a good way. Nic is average for those who care about that.

The main thing I love about Gotlands Gul is the smell. It smells fresh and clean. Natural, as if it came from nature and not a factory. Citrus and tobacco blending into a perfect scent.

The flavor is complex with a strong but not overwhelming natural blend of citrus flavor followed by the tobacco. The tobaccos used are rich and complex providing an excellent base for the very well balanced citrus top note. There is a bitterness coursing through all of this which adds to the balance and complexity of the flavor and is quite nice. All in all, it is an a taste that one must experience in order to decide if it is enjoyable.

The grind is a little coarse and I find it to be a tad drier and harder to bake than most other los but to me, those are both pluses. I like that it stays where you put it very well and doesn't run as it takes on moisture. The coarseness was something to get used to coming from General, but the flavor made it very easy.

The can is basic gray plastic that has a nice snap when it shuts and does the job. It also is 50g as opposed to the 45g in most los snus cans.

Try it. If you don't like it send it to me.

              +1

This may be the best out of my variety los order(only had two prillas so far so hard to tell longterm).

Just recently got into los and favorite so far has been GES los. The Gotlands Yellow is a little slice of heaven, and may bump the GES los out of the top spot.

Wow this is maybe better than ettan los. I should say that I don't like the citrus flavor of general but this stuff is awesome. The portions are good but this is like the best stuff I've ever had. Should have done a roll of this instead of jakobsons mint not that mint isn't good. Easily one of the top 10 tobacco products in the world period. Not just snus but everything, tastes better than a lot of good pipe tobacco.

Although this snus is quite popular, to me it is just ok. It took some time to grow on me, but grow it did. That being said, it is not the first can of loose that my hand gravitates toward when I reach into the butter tray.

The citrus notes are quite strong when compared to others. At first, I was not partial to the flavor, but it did tend to become more or less pleasant once I acclimated. It almost (almost) reminds me of what I would expect an Onyx loose to taste like.

That being said, I very much like the cut. I do not bake or pack tight prilla. If it's not a pinch, then I use a prismaster without compression, and break the pris up with my tongue once it is in place. There is very little creeping on the ends and this only occurs after the 1/2 hour mark. Very comfortable mouthfeel.

The nicotine content is also quite nice. The cans I received were obviously out of date, as these have not been produced for some time now. However, depending on the size of the pinch, the buzz comes on with satisfaction, if not a little strong.

I am glad to have had an opportunity to try this snus out. I can understand the strong following, and although it is not a snus I would add to the cart often, I see why it has a strong (and disappointed) following. Those seeking a stronger citrus zest than is found in the typical brands may enjoy this very much and should seek out a can or two, but I was slightly underwhelmed given the hype.
