Not so much luck with Jakobssen's Icefruit Portion. Interesting, old-timey can design. Strong minty aroma upon opening the can. Upon lipping it, I got the taste of a strong, unsweetened breath mint with a weak fruit undertone. The fruit was not sweet or complimentary - it was distracting. The two flavors seemed to clash, like an unsweetened piece of Juicy Fruit gum dipped in menthol. I quickly grew tired of the portion and chucked it after 20 min. Scotch tape went around the opened can and back in the freezer it went.

Precisely! If there ever was a snus to be marketed to teenagers, I would say this is it!

I just could NOT understand the flavor combination on this one.
It did not appeal to me AT ALL.
Fruity and minty with some undescribable notes thrown in.
Couldn't finish the tin.

I will use this one on occasion. I like the Juicy Fruit taste of it. It is overly salty, and the flavor kinda goes sour a little quick, but it's a good snus to pop in knowing your gonna take it out in 30 mins. or so.

I tried a few cans of this in the summer of last year, when it first came out. And I kinda liked the flavor, it was different. But the salt killed it for me ultimately. Salt is a necessity for snus, as I understand it, but with some flavors it really kinda takes something away.

Catch Eucalyptus was kinda the same way.

I had bought a can last year because the description of the flavors appealed to me. Once the shipment came in, I took a whiff of the can of Icefruit, and could smell a wonderful aroma from outside the can. I thought to myself "this is a keeper, I'm going to save this for a special occasion," which was a roadtrip I was taking in a couple weeks from then.

Well, roadtrip time comes, and I open the can, and the smell again is delicious. I pop one in, and instead of being taken off to Fruitland, I am greeted with Salt City. This wasn't exactly what I was expecting, and unfortunately from first taste I was not happy with this. During the day, I tried a few, and still wasn't too happy. This was not a snus I could really recommend.

Later, as the snus matured a little, it started to develop a smell of something that I am not sure if I can really mention on this forum due to the fact that the f-word isn't allowed, I don't know if the word I'm looking for is allowed anymore... but let's just say that it tasted like something that, while I don't mind personally, I do not expect any snus to taste like.


...just my experience. From what I'm reading, the trip to Salt City isn't unique.... I was honestly hoping that I just had a bad can.

Bought some a few months back, the description of the flavor sounds better than it actually taste. It's like a rocket that never gets off the ground. Strapped myself in put one in the upper lip leaned back ready for liftoff waiting, waiting and waiting this thing never did get off the ground it was a total "DUD".

I never could finish this can tossed out the last few portions after they dried up. I LOVE snus and I don't smoke.

Out of every snus I have tried I can say I HATE this one.

very different than most of the portions I've tried.
The aroma is overwhelmingly of bananas...yes bananas.
That seems to be the initial taste as well.

I also get sort of the Juicy Fruit taste, without the sugary taste in Gum.
There is a touch of mint, but very slight at least while sipping my black coffee.

If you like Fruity snus, give it a shot. For me, I'll stick with the tobacco flavors with an occasional mint.

i am a fan of gotlandssnus so when this one came out i was waiting to get my first can. after i got it i wish i would have just kept waiting. i was very disappointed. that taste is like robitussin with a big slash of vicks thrown in to cover up the robitussin taste. i would like to say i am kidding and i am sort of but it really does taste like that to me.

This along with Gotlands Green are 2 I could never get used to...I even prefer Offroad Apple to either one of those

Its alright,,, I have had better but then again it's snus and snus is better than no snus....... If anyone has any left they want to get rid of please send them to me, i will take good care of em.
