    Odens Original Portion

These are the portions in the Extreme type tin with a black sticker.

Exactly the same tobacco as Extreme - so this is very high quality.

Great tobacco flavour - better natural tobacco flavour than any snus out there (apart from Extreme)
Bags and bags and bags of flavour which doesn't go away
I feel it's saltier than Extreme and that's a really nice touch - I keep sucking away at this stuff.

This is a strong standard nicotine portion.

Along with Extreme, this is 10/10 - full marks.

I hope to see this sold in Northerner soon as I'll order this and Extreme - and nothing else. Forever.

I've got to say lads and ladys, and I hope I don't get my knuckles rapped by GN - but - the old Odens snus is not the same compared to this new stuff. This stuff is going nuclear.

Frosted I can't find it on the Oden's website. Did you get a pre-release sample? I'd love to try this since I am trying to reduce my stark use

This is probably the one I will end up using although i cannot seem to get my hands on any! I like portions but need to keep the nicotine in control. i absolutely love the extreme taste and was hoping for that same taste. I am not a Salty snus fan though! I guess when GN gets the store finished I can go that route. It will have to be Backdoor stuff now that Maryland is Blacklisted.

As excited as I am about any new offering from GN, I hope they don't **** with my Odens ES portions! Frosted, is this new portion like the Extreme portions in comfort and mouthfeel, or like the old Odens, soft and supple like your wi... Never mind brother.

Northerner has it listed for order but not expected in stock for 7-14 days. I ordered anyway for another opportunity to practice the art of patience. I've a hunch it will be worth the wait.

How do you know my wife?

The portions are exactly like Extreme in every way.

I'm working through a can of this (thanks Frosted) and so far what I've observed is a slight different from extreme. A very mellow citrus that is in perfect balance with a nice pepper flavor, which is also present in the aroma - a mild citrus in perfect balance with a peppery aroma. The tobacco taste is very present like Extreme, but I have observed a little more citrus in this than Extreme.

That being said, I really like it. I don't find it as bold tasting as Extreme, but it does have the same flavor notes of Extreme, just with a little more present citrus and the pepper is a tad bit more subdued.

I recently got my hands on some of the new Oden's Original Portion Snus, so I thought I'd write up a little something about it. First of all - this is not the same as Oden's Classic, these have a completely different taste. If anything I'd say it's a cross between Olde Viking Original Portion and Oden's Extreme Portion. Both are good in their own right, and I feel this kinda blends them together in a very interesting way. I am liking the black cans, so a thumbs up to GN for dropping their latest snuses in these black cans. They're still huge and bulky, but we're being told that is changing soon. So, let's talk Oden's Original Portion. When I opened the can two aromas immediately jumped out at me - but it was weird because they were so perfectly balanced. It was a very gentle pairing of citrus and pepper. Much like in Olde Viking - the sweet, floral, airy citrus aroma comes out first - and Extreme, where the pepper aroma jumps out at you immediately. In this snus - the citrus and pepper both come through immediately, but in perfect balance and slightly more mellow than the other two counterparts I previously mentioned. It's interesting.

The snus itself tastes much like I described the aroma as being. The rich pepper taste that is very present in Oden's Extreme, and the slightly sweet citrus taste in Olde Viking both come through together, but paired perfectly and a little more mellow and not as bold as Extreme or Olde Viking. It's pretty interesting. The flavor is very long lasting, and the portions are very comfortable. This is a really good snus. Not too much of a salt flavor - maybe a tad, but nothing that stands out. The nicotine content is average so it doesn't hit as hard as Extreme for those wanting to try something a little more mellow and chill. I give props to GN, I really do. When they released their first two snuses - Olde Viking Spearmint and Olde Viking Ginger Lime I couldn't stand them. But now that they're releasing original/classic tasting snuses I'm finding I can use them more and more. And I'm not the only one - they're gaining a lot of momentum and quite a fan base with their attention to detail and positive customer relations. That's the kind of thing I like to see in a company, and I think GN is on the right track.

Guays help me out here, this sounds like the perfect portion to me, a little citrus and a little extreme taste right? Where can I buy some? Not anywhere right now correct? Then, how long? And will I be able to buy direct?

                            I'll drink to that

The pepper flavour is going very well with a beer right now. I need to experiment more to make sure. It's going to be a boozy snus filled night.
