    Oden's Extreme Vanilla Portion

Opened the can, smelled like chopped coconut, almost like the Bounty chocolate. The main flavour is strong tobacco, with a subtle hint of vanilla, which becomes more pronounced if you press it with your tongue. I prefer white portions, but the drip on this was minimal and did not bother me at all. Also very happy with the effect, doing my third portion now, and my pupils are still getting dilated. Order this along with the Olde Ving Coffee Portion, the two are actually very similar in taste, except the Ving has a strong chicory taste which I disliked. Also very happy with the can, the best I have seen so far, has a nice amount of storage space and also a hinge for the top.

I really wanted to like odens vanilla. I went through the whole roll and just couldn't convince myself to buy more. Oden's is starting to become too dry for me, where I will go through entire portions without ever actually tasting anything.

The thing that bothers me about Odens, is the favor is never what I expect. That's not to say I don't like their flavors, cause I do. But I buy it because I want the flavor that I expected. For instance, the lime is good, but the lime is pretty much a background flavor. It's weird.

Thats the way it should be, the tobacco is the predominant flavour and the vanilla, mint, whatever is background, that's how I like it.

Did you guys start using a different recipe/process when you switched from the old hockey puck cans to the catch lid for everything? Ever since that change odens extreme los just seems sooooo moist while the portions just seem to be too dry. I understand everything can't be as moist as say a can of thunder chocomint but i keep wanting to buy your products and the portions are just so dry. I understand I am just one customer so me not liking it isn't a big deal I'm really just curious.

Also....you should start convincing buysnus to start carrying your whole line of products. I really want my old ginger/lime and to try burned apple but I'm not really willing to put an order in with northerner to get it.

No, no...like the lime...the lime loose I tested was awesome. The lime portions aren't really lime...more, some other flavor. Not tobacco flavor, though. I often buy straight dip, without flavoring. Like I said, I like the Odens stuff, I just never trust that what the flavor says on the can will be what I actually taste. I found that with the creamy wintergreen, 59 (I didn't taste cinnamon at all), and the lime. I enjoyed all those snuses, but they weren't what I was expecting.

That's what I like about Odens. Flavor is a mostly equal partner to the tobacco, and isn't the only thing you taste. It accentuates the snus without dominating it. I've been very impressed with the light touch they use in the flavoring.
