Let me weigh in here
First, in my whole life I have received one can of extreme los for free. I have since bought 25. I am waiting for the Regular Strength Extreme los to give that a try………….If I like it I will stock up on that as well………….If I don’t I will try to review it as informatively as I can (to help both other buyers as well as GN have some feedback to go on).
So my love for GN has not been bought…………….but it has been earned both by GN’s product and his involvement here.
Another case in point…………Jimmy sent me some Gotlands Plain for free to sample. I loved it and have done everything I can to get Jimmy to release it. On the other hand, I think something changed in the make-up of Gul (around the time they changed the grind). After that it went from being one of my favorites to one I stopped buying all together. I told Jimmy that and have posted it several times in the past when the topic came up.
Again my love for Jimmy has been earned not bought
The way I show that love (to both GN and Jimmy) is to give the best and most honest reviews that I can of a product. I think that is the greatest service we can give a manufacturer as well as the other members of this forum.
That said I think our opinions (be it good or bad) should be done with respect. Criticism should be constructive not vehement.
GN has helped a lot of people here during hard spells………their gratitude is not cock sucking………it is what should be expected.
Not everyone likes Extreme………..their dislike is not diabolical or personal………..it’s just how things are.
What levels the field and makes both the gratitude and the criticism worth any of our time is honesty and respect…………….
So…..
I love Extreme
Want to try Regular
Appreciate GN’s involvement
And think the sooner he can get the portion count in linethe better for both him and his customers.
I get the whole explanation regarding weight vs count
I also get how utterly and completely useless that explanation will be from a marketing stand point.
If everyone else is going by count……………and you go by weight………….your customer will feel cheated…………..just as we have seen here on this thread…………………..for the 3 people you get to explain the reason to………………there will be 20 who will never hear it and just won’t buy your product again. To me this seems to be an unwise marking approachand that will needlessly cut you market shares.
In Mexico the Americans released the very successful car Nova…………….which in Spanish means “no go” it flopped……………….you got to speak the language the customers speak………………no one talks weight…………they all speak count……………..as long as you don’t…………….there will be misunderstanding

Wow! It's nice to know I have that kind of power to make a producer of snus withdraw sellings to US just because I was not happy With transport price. I sure would like to see a raise of hands from anyone on this forum that would have paid $45-$50 for shipping of Oden's snus from Odenssnus.com at that time to the US... I was not the only one that raised the question on why such a high shipping cost to the US and I single handedly had nothing to do with with it...
