General Original
This is by far my most favorite snus. To me, it taste like the perfect mixture of salt, tobacco and citrus. I love the taste of salt and this snus definitely has it. It also has a nice smoky flavor in the background. I am salivating now just thinking about General Original. You can get an hour of taste easily out of a portion and it packs a respectable 8 mgs. of nicotine. There does seem to be some variation from one can to another and every now and then I get a can that taste flat. General Original was the first Swedish snus that I tried and it made not smoking easy! -
General OP is probably my favorite snus. I just find myself continually going to it, it's that good to me.
OP has a well-rounded combo of flavors,
there's pepper, there's citrus, there's fine tobacco. Just right!
General OP delivers nic faster and harder than your average 8 mg
portion, to me. Lastly, I find that OP's flavor is really long lasting.

Eh, a classic. Classics are good by definition.
The General line is to "traditional" snusii what Budweiser is to oldschool American lagers. (Please don't take this analogy too far.) There's good quality. The wide popularity of the brand does not lead one to snooty despair regarding the level of everyone else's taste. Nevertheless, it's possible you'll find something in the same genre that's more appealing.
That said, General's flavor does last maybe 30 percent longer than its most immediate rivals, and an open can in the pocket seems to stay "fresh" a day or three longer than many others, so there's value there, too...Comment

If I was going to use the beer analogy, I'd say General Snuff is more like Sierra Nevada, which is a relative giant among high quality "craft beers," yet one of the best craft beers you can buy, and is also of much higher quality than "adjunct" lagers like Budweiser. As a former user of American Snuff, I find Swedish Snus to be in a very different category, and General products to be at the very top of the line in that category.Comment

For me there is only one word for General "Classic". Its like Coca-Cola the taste is so balanced its hard to beat.Comment

It's the number one seller for a reason. The flavor is delicious and never seems to get old; it has a perfect ratio of tobacco, citrus, bergamot, and salt. No wonder most Swedes stay with General until the day they die.Comment

Although when I first began using Snus, General really was just average for me. Fast forward a few months and I find it in my top three. If I had a choice of using only one snus I think I would be fine with General snus being that one snus.Comment

Los or Portions ?
The los gets an A++ from me ... real tobacco taste... easy to be shaped into a prilla... there's an earthy taste to it... lasts long..
The portions from Genera aren't really for me... there's too much citrus taste in them ..Comment
