Not overly impressed with this one. SM went big and bold with other blacks like Onyx and Grov. N&J Black just seems like a dumbed down version of Onyx. It's flowery, and citrusey, like Onyx but without the real flavor punch like you get with the other blacks. The ongong flavor is smokey, woody, peaty, and licorice like the root, not like anis. I can't even compare this to N&J Strong, because to me they are not even similar.

Nicotine is average. No big hit, but this is a black/white portion.

N&J strong is one of my favorites (perhaps my absolute favorite), but N&J Black is somewhat of a disappointment.

I like it. It's got a nice smoky thing going on which is great for being outside in the cold weather - especially if you are playing with bonfires and drinking malt whisky.

It's got a decent nic buzz, nothing over the top, a pretty comfortable bag and a bit of a salty licorice flavour too.

I've got three more cans, and I'm quite happy with that!

Very much like Onyx and very disappointing really especially when compared to N&J Strong which is first class.

It does taste and smell like they sprayed it with Onyx juice. It seems to take about 15 minutes before I can start to pick up the N&J smokey flavor. I like Onyx but I really wish they would have hit this with a different type of flavor, perhaps Hickory or something.

This one starts out strong and, sort of, putrid -- but I really like it after 10-15 minutes. Definite throat-burning nicotine hit, that I also like.

It really does seem a lot like a straight-up combo of N&J and Gen.Onyx.

It's too early for me to say if I'll order any more, but it has some promise.

tastes pretty good to me. comes in second in my list of favs. you guys nailed the taste nicely so I don't need to expand. a used portion looks freakin scary. the wife thinks its pretty gross.

It may be too early to tell after three portions, but I think I love this snus. Will be a multi can re-order for me. thanks for the free can Northerner. I guess that's not much of a review but everybody else hit the flavor profile pretty good. the one thing I can say is the flavor lasts for 2 hours plus.

BB if you are going to buy it I suggest that you don't delay. At Buysnus you get 10 and pay for 7. Plus you get the bonus point and a free tin. I ordered my roll today. I don't know how long this promotion will last.

Northerner has buy 10 and get additional 2 tins free. But it actually costs you more per tin.

After going through an entire can, my feelings are about the same as RobsanX.

This one is decent but as many have said it's initial impression is exactly like Onyx and after a while the N&J recipe makes itself present.

I like that I can keep it packed in nicely for a long time and it's not very runny but I know when it's time to take it out not because the flavor is gone or the nic but after 90 minutes or so my gums start yelling at me. This stuff is a little abrasive IMO.

I prefer Onyx and Grov black so this sits at #3

Haven't tried this one yet, but I do have a can. I hated Grov Black, and I really thought I'd like it, as I do like Grov OP alot. But after 2, maybe 3, portions I could not stand it, well, I hated it on the 1st, but wanted to make sure.

I agree with the Onyx comparison. The nic hit is the same but without the lemons. The original seems stronger and slightly more flavorful but the black portions do feel better on the gums.
