Originally posted by rictorblackbusOk, so just picked this one up today. I went to a local tobacco shop hoping for General mint (my current fave) but they were out so I grabbed a can of Wintergreen (with a coupon the nice peeps at Swedish match sent me). The Stuff smells like colgate toothpaste, which I thought was odd. And they are very moist...kind of squishy as i fluffed it. I popped one in and got that mint burn, similar to the General mint, and a quick nic hit along with it. No real cooling sensation, which I love about the General mint. The wintergreen flavor is kind of mellower than I was expecting with the scent, and not at all sweet. Not too salty either, which is a plus for me since I am a bit new to swedish snus. All in all, Snus choice number 2 for the time being, right behind General mint. A good flavor to spice it up every once in a while.

Allow me Rick. OK rictor take a look at http://snusdistribution.com/ and if you see any brands you like on there see if your favorite store will carry them. If they seem willing, just get the managers name and phone number and pass it on to Rickcharles606. With any luck, your favorite store will be carrying it soon.

This stuff smells like moth balls and not only does it smell like mothballs it tastes like crap. Never again !! This is the worst snus I've ever had. I just cannot even finish the can because I could not finish 1 portion. After 20mins I had enough. This is the first can for me that I'm going to bin. - Terrible, terrible stuff

I've had a can or two in the past, but never much at once. I recently bought a roll of it and am almost finished with can #5 at the moment.
Taste wise I've always liked this stuff. It's a little sweet, but not over done. The mint oil overpowers the tobacco a bit, but it's not too harsh on the drip or anything.
And now we lead into my major flaw with this product, and it's a flaw that have been there since I first tried this snus over a year ago: BROKEN SEAMS
This stuff comes in SM's circular configuration where each pouch is in a nice little wedge shape. Problem is, I don't just stuff that in my lip; I prefer to fluff/loosen the tobacco first. This often results in one side seam breaking open. This happens even when being gentle with the pouch and is a tragedy of the production of this snus.
I've had to throw out over half a can worth of snus in the 5 I've opened so far because of this breakage. Considering it's sold at a premium snus price, I find this unacceptable and will no longer purchase this except in an emergency now that a local gas station is carrying it.
tl;dr: Good taste, poor production

I remember trying this when i first found out about snus and found a local shop near my town that carried general. It was ok. Something to use when i ran out of mint original and white portions. As i've mentioned before im quite biased against wintergreen. It was ok, definitely something i'd pick up if i was waiting on an order and needed some general to get me through. As far as wintergreens go for me it was definitely good, that being said the only other wintergreen snus ive tried is odens. I'm not sure if its just odens in general or if ive gotten old cans but odens portions are too dry but once moist the flavor was alright.

I started using tobacco in various and sundry forms when I was sixteen, and from the beginning I was attracted to natural tobacco flavors...that said, I always enjoyed the occasional tin on Grizzly WG, and have always loved Wintergreen flavor wherever I encounter it. After using unflavored snus, however, I can't really tolerate 'adulterated' tobacco–I even have a hard time with bergamot. General WG is good for what it is, not as sickeningly sweet as the mint, but I just can't use it or any flavored snus on a regular basis. It's good on occasion and after a meal. And perhaps I'm the odd duck; but one thing that has always drawn me to smokeless tobacco is the burn, which General WG has in droves.
