I thought I liked this at first, but this morning I used a portion and decided the taste in my mouth was close to the way my mouth tastes after a morning of drinking Crown...more so like after I throw up. YUCK!

Maybe it is just me, but I am just not a fan.

i really like probe loose. it's not a favorite but most of the time i have a can around. a few years ago i got attached to it after they quit making N&J loose. i was searching around for a replacement and none could replace N&J but probe caught my attention for a couple of months.

I think of it as snus candy but not that nasty sweet taste some of those minis have. This sweet is more "real" to me, not candy (even though i use that word). I stayed away from probe for the longest because its name has whiskey in it. I happen to be one of those ex-drinkers who don't even need to smell whiskey. i have drank enough whiskey to float a battle ship around (as its been said before) and i can say that probe neither smells or taste like any whiskey i ever had.

Probe list 10 mgs of nicitine but its ph must be really low because ive never been able to tell that it has any nic in it. Well i guess enough to keep the monster away but nothing else.

Side note, i have tried the portions and they are not as good as the loose. As a matter of fact I have bought them once and threw about 22 of 24 away.

Sweet good taste. Non-alcoholic smell and taste. Low nic hit. Great once every day or two.

I agree with everything except the part about the nic hit. I feel every mg of the 10mgs of nic. maybe the pH of our mouths are different.

...And Ive been known to be an official "quality control inspector" of Crown Royal. So I fully agree with that statement.... Crown and Coke -the Black Tooth Grin! MMMmmmmmm....

I've been wanting to give this a try since, I had the Offroad Moonshine.

Another one that I never got around to trying until now. It's decent, I will be using it only when I'm drinking though. I actually prefer the Offroad Moonshine to this one. This one has more of a tobacco taste to me then whiskey, where as the moonshine has more of a fruity alcohol taste.

It is what it is. I could go the rest of my life without it, but do enjoy about half a tin when I get it.. It's just too much. Too much flavor, too much sweetness, and too much weirdness. I loved it when I first got it, ordered a roll, then burned out on the next tin. I still have some I purchased in 2007 :^D

Haven't tried portions but the lös is one of the best snus's i've ever tried. It's a shame that there's no Gustavus Whisky anymore. It was even better than Probe.

I'm struggling with it now. Been on it all day, as it was the only stuff I took to work, and as soon as I got home I cracked a can of something else. The flavour is just a bit wrong, and the nicotine doesn't hit hard enough.

I'm going to see the can off, because I hate binning snus, but it'll take me a while.

I think if they toned down the sweet stuff they spray on these portions, it would actually be pretty great. As it stands it becomes way too sickly after a while.
