I'm a bit surprised that I didn't get burned out on the flavor of this. Now that it is gone I really miss it. May have to order again next month.

I'm getting a roll of Offroad Coola this Friday. Still have some Thunder left, but I generally prefer the Offroads.

I believe the name Coola is deviating the word Cool which would imply a cooling sensation which can easily be confused with mint. Camphor could have been added to the recipe to create that cooling tone without a Minty taste. I've gone through a roll of each - Thunder and Offroad. Always get the cooling sensation but can never taste mint. Weird.

Either way... I don't beleive Coola is deviating the word Cool and being confused with mint..... Camphor cooling tone, cooling sensation, Mint, whatever you call it should have never been added to give it any cooling sensation.... A plain cola taste would have made this snus better in my opinion...

            There is a Cooling agent

Hello to everyone. I was very excited to receive my first order of Thunder Coola. I noticed a definite cooling sensation upon placing my first portion. It even smells vaguely reminiscent of some sort of mint as a compliment to the cola flavor.

Hopefully this hasn't been mentioned before.

I have a couple cans of coola in my fridge. I didn't really like the flavor the first time I tried it. I usually drink a soda in the morning when I wake up for a caffeine boost, during colder coffee months coffee. I popped in a thunder coola + with my Pepsi max and the flavor is great. I guess just using the portion by itself sucks but if you actually drink a soda with it it makes it really good.

Got few of these from Northeners mystery can deal, that cool cola taste is awesome, as you Eric said espacially good with a glass of cola, on the other hand Thunder berry was horrible, used 2 portions and then gave the can away.

I tried the Thunder Coola a few weeks back, way too strong for me. I quite liked the taste but unfortunately this was another snus that gave me heartburn, must be the high nic content.. So i'm sticking with Offroad Coola.

I picked some up of the cola and frosted in Missouri. I prefer lower nic snus. It won't be on my buy list again.

I will buy offroad frosted and will try the cola.

This was one I was just sure I was going to like but something about the flavor profile just didn't quite jell for me. It wasn't the high nic, I adore that, but the "cool" part of the Coola just seemed out of place somehow and the Offroad portions were in similar regard. V2 seems to think that a cooling sensation is a virtual necessity in their Thunder line so it may be there to mask some other essence they think people will not like. Not sure why though since the plainer tobacco flavors of several of their other "uncool" versions seem quite palatable. In any event a re-order will not be happening but, ever hopeful, I do intend to give the new Orange and Mint a try.

didn't have this stuff yet -

but the Offroad wasn't what I expected, it tastes more like the cola bubble gum I used to chew when I was a kid ............... to sweet for my taste too

I'm not quite sure how I find this one. I ordered two cans and I did sort of like it, but I don't find that I get that much of a Cola flavor and then after a while it starts mixing with my saliva and it just seems overpowering. I has a quite weird cola taste, but the smell is fantastic.

Thunder Coola is a pretty unique snus in my opinion. It has seemed to have gone thru a change over the time it's been on the market. The first time i tried Thunder Coola, it was a pretty moist Original portion. The flavor was immediate, just like all the Thunder brands were when it was relelased, and had a pretty strong cola flavor, almost like RC Cola. Then, I got hold of some this June and the portions are completely different. The new version of Thunder Coola is not as moist as the version that was first released. The scents coming from the can are just as prominent but instead of smelling a generic "cola" scent, there's a bit more to it.

The scent of cola is there but there are also scents of cinnamon and a hint of Eucalyptus which makes it much different than the cola syrup that I smelled in the first version. When you place it in the lip, the first thing you notice is a slight menthol burn that confirms my theory that there may be some Eucalyptus flavoring in the mix. After about 5 minutes, you can taste the cola flavor along with a bit of icy coolness that the first version of Thunder Coola didn't have. Now, I'm not saying that Thunder Coola has now changed to Thunder Eucalyptus cola because the base flavor is still that of an RC cola, what I am saying is that you can feel the coolness of the Eucalyptus and a very light hint of the flavor. It's actually quite nice and much different than the first release.

While the flavor is pretty unique, it's also pretty light overall. It really does take playing around with the portion in your lip to make the flavors come out. Unlike the first version where the flavor was immediate and the portion was quite moist, this new version almost reminds me of a White portion due to the way the flavor release is. Overall, if your looking for a high Nicotine snus with a pretty unique flavor profile but, want something that doesn't have an overpowering flavor the minute you put it in your lip, then you really need to give Thunder Coola a try. If you were turned off by the way the first version's portions were....well......too wet, you should give Thunder Coola another shot. IMO, I was turned off of this snus for that exact reason but after trying it again this past June, it's found a home in my permanent rotation. :-)
