Thunder Cool Mint White portion snus

I just had the chance to try the new Thunder Cool Mint White portion that V2 has released and I must say, if you have tried the regular Thunder Cool Mint and found it to be a bit too strong in flavor, give Thunder Cool Mint White a try! The flavor is the same as the Original type Cool Mint, just in a white version. For those who don't know what makes an original portion different from a white portion, besides the obvious I mean ;-), each snus portion begins as a White portion until the very end of the manufacturing process. Snus portions destined to become Original portions or, the brown ones, go thru a final step in the manufacturing process that adds a few drops of water to each one before putting them in the can. What this does is help the flavors come out of the snus as well as turns the portions, brown. The water also makes the flavors more intense while it's in the can. White portions don't go thru this final step and that's why white portions are not as intensely flavored as Original portions are. Ok, got a bit off track.

Thunder Cool Mint White is the exception to this rule. While the portion is white, the flavor seems to be just as intense as it's original sibling just without the running or dripping that's associated with the original version. V2 has released not only Cool Mint as a White portion but three other flavors as well, Thunder Wintergreen White, Thunder Frosted White and Thunder Raw Ultra Strong White. All with the same flavor as their Original versions, just a bit less runny! I've heard that these are only available as a limited run so, I really hope V2 keeps making them because they've become a regular in my rotation!

Hope this helps in your snus buying!

Almost got through a can now and there isn't much difference between these and the originals except that they're less runny. The flavor intensity is a bit lower, but not by much.

Long story short: They keep making these in whites, and I'll be ordering whites from now on.

Oh another thing to mention: For whatever reason, all mine have come with all the tobacco smushed into one side of the pouch in a lump. I just have to fluff it out, but I do that with most portions anyway. Just looked odd when I first opened the can.

This is my favourite snus. Best way to describe it would be as a toned-down roasted honey minty flavour. Drip and presentation a lot like the Thunder Frosted (lump to the side, same type of drip). Now if only they would make this in Ultra.
