If you don't like Thunder's take on Wintergreen, I don't think these will change your mind.
The flavor is still the unsweetened, almost metallic Wintergreen that the originals are. The flavor has not changed. That being said, it also doesn't run anywhere near as much as the original portions do. For me, that's a huge plus as the original WG could get a little nasty when it started dripping a lot.
The portion material isn't bad, although I could see the seams being a problem. The portions I got had all the tobacco crammed into one side of the pouch in a little lump. This requires a bit more fluffing of the pouch than I normally do to break up the tobacco a bit and that has me worried as the seams on the portions look like the kind that can easily break open. None of mine have yet, but with Thunder's inconsistent quality, I can picture getting a can where a good 1/3 of the pouches break open upon fluffing. I will note here than their quality has been more consistent over my last 5 orders or so, so maybe they have the kinks worked out finally.
If they continue to offer this in Whites, I will buy these over the original portions. I've always liked the way Thunder does the Wintergreen flavor and the white portions are an improvement over the originals.
