Like I said in the beginning, this is a tobacco and Nicotine free snus so, the amount of time you would keep a portion in is based on how long the flavor lasts, not how long the Nicotine lasts, and with Zeroberg, I've had a portion in for up to two hours before the flavor get a bit funky. Each can of Zeroberg Original has 24, one gram portions which does make them a bit thicker than the standard portion but, it also makes them a bit more comfortable as well. So, what's the flavor like? Well, it's pretty surprising actually!
When you first open a can of Zeroberg Original, you're greeted with the light scents of sweet herbs and a bit of bergamot. It's actually pretty close to an Original flavored snus with the light earthy notes taken out. The flavor on the other-hand is pretty unique. I've had tried just about every Original flavored, tobacco and Nicotine free snus brand on the market and have experienced flavors that ranged from smoky Applesauce to salty pickle juice but with Zeroberg Original, the flavor is extremely close to a standard Original flavored snus as you can get without tobacco. What I taste is a lightly sweet herbal flavor with a touch of smoke and bergamot in the front and a light saltiness in the background. What's missing is the earthy notes that can only come from tobacco but, in the absence of this, Zeroberg Original is probably the best tasting, tobacco and Nicotine free snus that I've tried in a while.
Another unique thing about Zeroberg Original is that the snus is pH neutral. What does this mean, you ask? Well, being pH Neutral means that the snus doesn't raise or lower the natural pH levels present in your mouth so you don't run the risk of any pH related damage to your gums or teeth. At least that's the way it was explained to me. So, back to the statement I made in the beginning; what's the point in using a tobacco and Nicotine free snus if you are a traditional snus user? For one, there are a lot of people, mainly in Scandinavia, that are looking to reduce their Nicotine intake and tobacco and Nicotine free snus is one way they are able to do this. Another way it could be used is by people that like to sleep with a portion in. I know a few snus users that use either a low Nicotine snus or a mini portion while they sleep plainly out of habit and complain that either they wake up with horrible breath or are plagued by Nicotine induced dreams. By using Zeroberg Original, they can still keep a portion and not worry! Overall, I quite like Zeroberg Original and use it just before bedtime or when I'm using my E Cig.
If you're looking for a tobacco and Nicotine free snus that has the flavor of traditional snus, I would really recommend giving Zeroberg a try!
