    ****1/2 / *****

I got a free can of this from Northerner with my last order, and I decided to try it last night. I'm not a fan of wintergreen, and Thunder is ok, but a bit too syrupy for me. Having said that, I am really impressed with this snus.

It's not as sweet as the other Thunder brands I've tried, and it's not too salty either. The wintergreen flavor is prominent, but not overwhelming. V2 did a good job making a Swedish wintergreen, as opposed to the sweet General WG (plus the portion didn't fall apart on me  ).

The nic hit was incredible! I haven't had that feeling from a snus since the ES's first started coming out. It gave me that deeply relaxed feeling that I and many others have experienced. Very enjoyable.

Since wintergreen is not one of my favorites, I'm not sure if I'll buy more, but if there is one WG snus that would change my mind this is it! For the WG fans out there, I'd say this is a must try!

You have perked my interest. General Wintergreen is ok, but not great.

I actually like the flavor of Offroad Wintergreen better than the Thunder but the nic hit is kind of low.

General WG would be better if the portions didn't break so easy. Only portion I have had that problem with.

Yea, I just went through a can and had to throw out about 5 of them, and used about 10 that had tears in them, but I just folded it over on it.

Like another reviewer said, this stuff has a good wintergreen flavor, but it doesn't become overwhelming. For anyone coming to snus from wintergreen flavored chewing tobacco, this is definitely something you should try.

Got this as part of a flavor sampler.

This stuff smells/tastes almost identical to gizzly wintergreen. Good wintergreen flavor, good nic hit, more of a snus I would use at home when I have the option to spit once in a while as the juice is a little strong for swallowing if you keep it in an hour+ and aren't drinking something with it. Great for after a meal, wouldn't use this first thing in the morning.

If you like wintergreen you need to try this!

In the middle of my anti-v2 haze I had a 5 can roll of Thunder wintergreen arrive at the post office.ITS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD.It has a non-over powering wintergreen taste to it and its kinda in the background wintergreen flavor.Completely different from General wintergreen and much better in my opinion.Im not much for wintergreen flavored anything, but this was pretty good.It is the first V2 that I could actually feel the nicotine from, just being honest.

Thunder Wintergreen is a pretty good product, though like Rob said can be a bit "syrupy". I definately prefer General Wintergreen in the taste dept., but use these when I want Wintergreen with an extra "kick". Always in my rotation. 4 stars.

I feel the need to update my previous review:

Although Thunder can be an excellent product, the recent lack of consistency leans me toward a negative review.

                      I'll explain:

The Wintergreen I reviewed in a positive light was a Thunder product that was very moist, almost to the point of being wet. After a can was empty, the can still had droplets of moisture inside clinging to the can.

However, V2's inconsistency with the production of the product is throwing me in a negative direction. A lot of my cans lately have been very dry, with a stiff, rigid portion material that was not what they originally used.

It is basically a crapshoot as of this posting as to which product you are going to get. The wet portions I still believe are some of the best, the bone dry, rigid portions are terrible.

I would not recommend this product to anyone until V2 figures out which product they are going to produce on a regular basis.

I love General Wintergreen. I also enjoy Thunder Berry and Thunder Frosted and have a can of all three open at all times (as well as several others) for when I want a sweet snus. So I thought I would enjoy Thunder Wintergreen, but it was not what I hoped.

The flavors in Thunder Frosted and Berry are ridiculously strong flavors, which I really enjoy, so I thought that would be the same with Thunder Wintergreen, alas for me, that was not the case. Plenty of nicotine, wow, the thing practically gave me a heart attack. In fact, as it is, I kind of wish I could get the Berry and Frosted in less strength nicotine, but with the same strong flavor.

As an ex-Kodiak/Grizzly user I long for the stronger artificial wintergreen, but the wintergreen in the Thunder was much more subtle than other Wintergreen snus I have tried. I will finish off the can and see if I grow to like it, as is sometimes the case, but so far I didn't get the same kind of instant flavor hit as with the other Thunders.

I have to say this has grown on me and I ordered more. It doesn't have the shocking minty taste of the General, but it does last a lot longer, the tobacco undertones are nice and the nic level is nice as well.

Got around to trying this. Better then Generals, but not as good as Jacks. Nic hit is really good, but that's because it has Thunder in the name! I prefer the sweeter Jacks, but this one doesn't burn like Generals, and doesn't fall apart either.

So I finally ventured away from General and ordered a few different kinds from Northerner. I got the Thunder Wintergreen Ekstra Stark and Thunder Frost Ekstra Stark and I have to say, I don't know how I lived with General :-D These definitely have a massive kick to them and taste great!
