This one has the distinctive V2 taste. That is to say, a kind of sage-like smoothness. This seems to be what an Offroad Extra Sterk might taste like. The flavor lasts a good while and the pris holds together for as long as you need. The nicotine is high and comes on with a bang! It does settle down into a better delivery as it goes. This one is pretty good, but Skruf and General do not have much competition here. The one thing that Thunder loose does have on them is the price. So, in all, I give this one a very enthusiastic 8 out of 10.

I had my first can a couple of days ago. This brand is extremely cheap compared to other los brands, being around $20 per roll before shipping. The can is all plastic and the tobacco stays moist longer than Swedish Match brands, since they use cardboard cans. The snus has a coarse grind similar to Grov Los and is very easy to bake or pinch. As well, the snus stays together longer than any other brand I have tried. The odor is the most off-putting aspect of Thunder Los; it has an almost caustic smell that is very displeasing. Hopefully the new formula will taste better. The snus itself tastes pretty good, and doesn't have a sweet flavor like the portions. All in all, I think this snus is great, since its inexpensive (one of the cheapest on the market) and gets the job done with 16mg of nicotine per gram. I will probably find myself ordering this most of the time, since the snus is decent and the price is unbeatable.

I'll start with a little preface: I am fairly new to Snusing, I have only tried a very few of the many, many, many snuses available. Most of the ones I have tried have been 6-8-10 mg. reportedly in content of nicotene. Normally no mater which it is I use 1 click and I do mean the first click which = 1gm. weight.

Ok this is what I want to ask and say!
I made a Pris as indicated above, and this stuff kicked my little short Butt. How can I regulate this stuff down to where I can enjoy it. Without feeling like I just got off the merry go round after a 30 minute ride? It taste Ok feels good in the lip, but this stuff does not slack off even a little bit even after 1 hour in the Lip. And by then I might as well go lay down awhile so I don't fall down.
Bottom line 16mg Nic Kicked my butt!

OH... AND IT IS STRONG AS BALLS!

I really like this stuff and regularly do half a click on the icetool. Any more than that and I need a toilet and a glass of water....not necessarily in that order.

Plastic can and a great price for a quality product....this is a roll buy for me.

You have pointed out several advantages to This fantastic Snus.

1 use less get just as much effect.
2 probably will keep a person more regulated
3 a person will be encouraged to drink more water
4 less wear and tear on the Icetool
5 all in all it tastes goood and economical

I am sold on this new product to me.

This snus is wonderful...I fell for it after a few prillas. I once used to be uneasy about anything overly strong. So much has been said about this snus and yadda yadda ya..so I will sum it all up for my point of view.

1. Cheap & Economical - Most places have it around $20 for a roll. It is 16mg per gram so you can decide how much you want to use.
2. Its in a plastic can - Stays fresher hands down versus compressed paper cans.
3. Moist - I've had a can open now for over a week. It is now just starting to dry out a tid bit at 75+ degrees F.
4. Handbakes like a champ - It does, don't believe me...try it.
5. Fawesome - No doubt about it, this is one farkin' awesome snus.

Now I am really confused. I have believed, since the summer of 09, that I need really low levels of nicotine. The reason is, all portions, whether regular, white or mini (or any combination thereof), give me niccups. All portion snus leaves too much nicotine draining way too fast for my tastes.

That was the case until today, when I got a roll of Thunder Extra Stark original los. Usually, I do one click of los on a 3 ml Icetool and that is quite enough of a nicotine hit for me. So my plan was to do my usual one click with Thunder, then chop it in half with a razor blade, to keep the nic level close to my norm. However, curiosity got the best of me as I was clicking the pris out of the Icetool. So I didn't divide it and wrapped the los as usual and popped it in.

Strangely enough, the nic level is not too high for me. It is definitely more than I am used to. There was quite a bit of a 'buzz' early on. Since then, it has settled in and feels much like the nic level I am used to. What is so odd is, I did get a can of Thunder portions one time. I did only one portion, because it felt as if gasoline was draining down the back of my throat. I did not want to relive that experience again. My own pris use much less tobacco than standard portions, so perhaps that's why this Thunder los is not only more tolerable, but quite pleasant also.

I like this. I like it quite a bit, actually. Is it just me, or does the smell of it remind others of liquor? The flavor reminds me a bit of liquor too. I just can't remember which one. I will experiment with this one further, especially given I have an entire roll of it. I would strongly recommend for others to try this, and most especially if you are convinced you can only take lower levels of nicotine. Perhaps that's more related to the differences between portions and los, rather than the strength of the nicotine level itself, because this one, although strong, is enjoyable. The flavor is not like any snus I have tasted so far.

yeah, I'm almost sure it does. Haven't had Phantom Blue los in awhile, but I'm almost sure.

Thanks Rick. I had a feeling it would be the same. The Phantom los is just the right consistency and grind for me (I've struggled with nearly all other brands of los apart from Phantom).

Looks like I'll be giving Thunder ES a try in the new year.
