Dry, soft portion material with little drip. Comfortable on the gums.

A smooth, mellow, savory flavor with hints of tobacco and smoke. Salty, but not overbearing.

Somewhat lacking in nicotine delivery.

Overall, a good break when you need some flavor, otherwise - doesn't really work too well when you need a nic hit.

Phantom Brown Portion gets my vote as the worst snus that I have tried.
I can't find words to describe the horrific flavor of this snus. It just tasted
like chemicals or oven cleaner or worse.
Maybe its just me. Maybe it gets better if you leave the portion in longer.
But I couldn't get past the 5 minute mark.
Sometimes when you first try a snus brand, it might taste bad at first, but then when you revisit it some time later, it can possibly become a fav.
I'm quite sure that will not happen to me with Phantom Brown Portion.
Because I'll never try it again.

I second groverthesnake's post. I struggled through half a tin of this stuff, and this will be my last mistake regarding V2.

I love OR coffe/van.....and few people do. Its my only snus.......untill I tasted this classic brown. To me its pretty dam good. If I would have tried this after they quit making the coffe/van I wouldn't have bitched so much about them discontinueing ithe coffe/van. So I guess my tastes are really off the charts compared to most other people cuz you guy hate it. V2 will probably quit making it now.


I'm beginning to think that you either like OR products....or you don't. Must be something in the water they use.

For being someone who does not like very many v2 products I found the Phantom Brown to be an ok snus.A great natural tobacco snus with a little bit of salty smokiness.Pretty good.My only problem was I bought a ten can roll of it and got sick of it fast.

This will most likely become a regular for me. I love the flavor, portion material, moisture level, and the price. This is one of the only snusi that I've tried so far that even comes close to matching American dip as far as tobacco taste is concerned. The nic hit is there but it takes a bit longer to develop than some other products. When the nic does come, I think it is stronger than most regular strength products.

This is a pure and strong tobacco taste with a hint of smoke. Good price for the value snus shoppers; and V2 manages to keep these little baggies nice and moist and fluffy. My only gripe is that the flavor seems to wane after 40 minutes or so. It still gives flavor after that time, just does not seem to be as strong. No big deal if you keep your snus in less than one hour.

I'm on my second ever pouch of Rothbrix Classic Brown Pouches. Well, I think it's pretty good. Not great, but not bad. If anything, maybe a bit on the bland side. But that can be a plus too. Over flavored snus can be a negative. But it does have a decent flavor, overall, I like it. I'd buy again.

Well, I'm still alive!

Got five... count em... FIVE cans of Rothbrix Brown Portion from Northerner's Five Can Mystery Pack today. The flavor is EXACTLY that of Thunder OP, just no big nic hit. The portions are a little dry on top and are stuck together just a tad, but upon some digging, they're pretty moist. I wish I got only one can and four other cans, but hey whatcha gonna do? Snus, I guess! 2.5-3 outta 5 not bad but not the best... Maybe I'll add some vanilla flavor and some coffee beans to a can and see what's what.

Just bought a roll of this stuff to try to save money, as it seems all my favs recently went up.

It's OK, but wouldn't be one of my favs. I miss my ettan and Jak classic

I guess I'd give it a 3.4 to 4 out of five. Reason it gets close to a 4 is because it isn't as bad, relative to how cheap it is. (it's half the price as SM snus, but more than half as good, lol)
