I got a few cans of this using my bonus points at Northerner. From the product description I was expecting an Ettan or Grov knock-off. What i got was something much more unique than that.

Grind: coarse and easy to handbake. score: 9/10
((EDIT: gone about halfway through the can now and i can safely say this is the easiest lös to handbake ive ever tried.))
Smell: Sweet, faintly chocolaty and just a hint of ammonia. score: 8/10
Burn: Average burn for a non-stark lös. 6/10
Nicotine Absorption: (This really is a personal thing as the pH in all our mouths is bound to be different.) For me this is just like the burn, Average for a non-stark. 6/10
Flavor: Predominantly tobacco with a strong hint of chocolaty sweetness. Its not the 'natural' chocolate flavor of tobacco like in Ettan; it's more pronounced and really tastes like chocolate has been added. 7/10
Value: I spent 89 bonus points per can at Northerner, thats 10 points less than Kronan portions and 60 points less than Knox portions. id have to give Phantom Brown lös 8/10 for value.

    Overall I give it a 7ish/10.

I really want to like v2 los but I can't get over the texture.

I love the flavor of brown. I have gone through three cans in the last two months but I just don't like the feel under my lip.

Solid snus and it holds up forever but it just feels too smooth.

^I'm with you on that. V2 is such a nice, transparent company, and phantom is a low price brand, I would love to fall in love with this stuff, but, as Chevrolet so succinctly put it "No Va."

I get a strong manure scent from brown, and the grass-like substance in the tobacco itself doesn't make this any more appealing. This is not so noticeable in the other two varieties of Phantom, but it is really bad in brown, and the title certainly doesn't help. Needless to say, I have difficulty putting this stuff in my mouth. When I actually do, it doesn't taste nearly as bad as it smells/is marketed. Brown essentially tastes like muted, over manufactured tobacco with liquid smoke poured on it. It is not that bad, but it is certainly not that good either.

I tried my first can of this a few weeks back.
Like any snus it can take a while to fully appreciate the nuances of them. I wasn't expecting much for the price but i was pleasantly surprised from the first pris.

The grind is a little on the coarse side but again, i like them that way. It has a good sweet/salt balance, hand bakes real easy and is comfortable enough on the gum if not formed up too tight. I do tend to do my pris a little on the loose side anyway so this works great for me.

I use this one at work where i sit in front of a computer all day and i just want a steady nic feed. Most times i'll have a pris in for at least two hours then remember i have one in. It holds together really well.

Yeah it is a cheap snus, but all in all it is decent enough to use all day and the price can't be beat.
Now as soon as i get home i'll get into the Skruf, Ettan or General but for daytime it works for me!!!!

This stuff makes for a pleasant experience. I taste salt and tobacco.Flavor could be stronger. Nice texture, not too fine.

The first time I tried this I wasn't impressed. I have a pris in right now though and I must say, its quite nice. It is just slightly sweet and salty tobacco with a spicy undertone.

So far, I'd say it takes commitment to use Phantom Brown. This stuff smells like pure, unadulterated shit. End of story. Pop in a prilla, though...and it's really very nice. VERY NICE, I think.

The taste is mild, with an undercurrent of chocolate. Contrary to what was said above, it doesn't really taste as if the chocolate was "added" to me. There's also another taste in the background that's harder to describe. For some reason, the term "peat" comes to mind, but I don't know why. There I go, sounding like some sort of wine douche...

I've added it to the rotation for sure, along with Roda, Prima Fint, Ettan, and Grov...honestly, it may replace Grov, which was my favorite los in the beginning. Now Grov just seems too strong for my taste, and can really work on your gums over a day's use...

It's nice to love a los that's made by somebody other than Swedish Match...

I've never had a phantom product.. I just put in a pris and I'm definitely enjoying it. The chocolate tone is nice. I'll definitely order more.

I'm not convinced by this. Bakes well, holds together well in the mouth; but it's just lacking in flavour. If it was a bit more punchy in the taste department it'd be perfect. Sadly lacking.

I prefer "mellow" to "lacking". I think you'll find you get more flavor out of it the longer you use lös. It'll never be a flavor explosion, but it's satisfactory, and a good amount of flavor for when you're in a "neutral" mood. The brown is my favorite normal V2 flavor, with the lakrits being my favorite overall.

I found Blue to be more satisfying than brown. Subtle, yes, but it had some distinctive notes. I think my palate doesnt do subtle that well, even with food and drink I prefer more upfront flavours.

I'm warming to this stuff now. Note to self, don't post reviews so soon.

I recently ordered some of this stuff, while it's the only 'natural tobacco' flavour snus I could order inside the EU.
When I first opened the tin, I was really turned off by the smell, it smelled well, dirty and I was afraid that I had to work with this stuff for a long time since I can't get SM or other Swedish snuses here in Holland.

The prillas are easy to bake and the taste is indeed, mellow tobacco. After taking some prillas it is starting to get on me. I love the smell of the tobacco on my fingers after making a prilla. (This must sound strange ;D)
I'm glad I gave my senses a chance to get used to this stuff because it really is oke. Not the best snus I've ever tried, but good enough! I can't detect any chocolate tones like Ettan but perhaps that's just me.

All I can say is, don't be turned off by the initial smell, and just give it a try. The price is very good and I think I can live with this. I'll post a review on the blue version aswell soon!
