My first can of Thunder Blue arrived with the 5.0 box. Already being a fan of Thunder Frosted and to a lesser extent, Wintergreen, the Blue was the next logical step in my snus-tasting quest.
The can itself is nothing remarkable, just your plain ol' black can with white and blue letters. V2 has superior packaging compared to Swedish Match products - the contents stay moist for a long time, even when unrefrigerated.
Upon opening the can, a faint smell of Windex wafted through my nostrils. It reminded me of the days when I wiped windows and mirrors down with newspaper. I rather enjoy the smell of Windex, so I didn't object. However, I did find it a bit odd that this smell emanated from something I was about to put into my mouth.
The portions themselves are quite different from Swedish Match portions. They are slender and quite moist. It also looked like a crazed clown dug all of the portions out of the can, crushed them with his insane clown fingers and smashed them back into the can. Not the tidy presentation I'm used to with Match products.
Upon popping a portion, I was treated to a vague berry sweetness with a gin-like afterbite. About 5 min in, the tobacco started to come through. I also got the burn. Came on slow at first, but after 10 min, I was in a full nicotine blitz. I sprang up, tore all of my clothes off and danced around like a man possessed - I quickly ran outside and the neighbors gawked at my flapping junk while I screamed "TASTE THE THUNDER!!"
OK, so the last part didn't happen, but I really enjoyed the snus. Something I definitely want to order again. Too bad it's only available through BuySnus.com.
Packaging: 7/10 (stays fresh!)
Portion material: 6/10
Flavor: 9/10
Nicotine: 9/10
Reusability: 7/10

I just opened my first can of Thunder Blue.
As someone who does enjoy Phantom Blue loose on occasion, I thought I had a good idea of what to expect.
I was pleasantly surprised when actually using Thunder Blue. It has a fresh, cooling flavor that far surpasses phantom blue portions. The flavor is definitely windex based and slightly sweet. The cooling effect lingers and seems quite pleasant to me.
I really enjoy the extra nicotine and the slow roll of its absorption.
I am also enjoying the flavor as it evolves in fruity, salty, savory, and windexed heaven. With a superbly rounded compliment of sweet and savory this snus has catapulted to the tops of my rotation.
While I may not enjoy it with my morning coffee I am enjoying it now with beer.
If you have ever tried Phantom Blue and were in love with it's unique flavor, even if you disliked it just shy of hated it, then give Thunder Blue a whirl. It's similar, but different. They've really captured what is enjoyable about phantom blue and amplified everything that was good about phantom while adding everything that they have to make it spectacular.
Well done V2. I found my favorite Thunder portion. Until you come out with Thunder orange.
Very Well Done!

So much win! Tried this stuff today, AWESOME! I see buysnus.com has it right now for $28 a roll. Will buy a roll for sure, I like it that much, haven't bought a roll of anything yet. Is this a limited time snus, or will this be around all the time? I really hope this one doesn't go away.

Thunder and V2 are starting to take preference over SM products in my rotation. They make really high quality tasty snus!

I just opened my first ever can of Thunder Blue, and I like it alot. I also like the Phanbrix Blue portions. This is similar, maybe a bit better. I don't get the hard "hit" like I did when I did my first ever Thunder(OP), but I guess my nic tolerance adjusted. But I still feel it some. Anyway, the "flavor" is hard to describe. I am not a flavored fan, and to me, this, and the Phanbrix are not what I'd call "flavored". It does have a coolishness about them, and a slight sweetishness. But whatever it is, I think it's really good, if not great. I would get this again for sure.

Just got my order with Thunder Blue, was really expecting it to have a strong chemical smell (windex) from other reviews but I really didn't even get a hint of windex smell when I opened the can and smelled it. Pouches are really moist and pretty thin. I think this could definitely be one of my go to snus flavors (when I want a strong portion). There's a hint of berry along with a slight chemical taste basically it's tastes like a thunder frosted portion with a hint of berry. Gives the same menthol feeling like the frosted portion, nice and strong.

I consider thunder blue an average snus. Nice kick though. It does smell a little like windex, meaning not very aromatically appealing. It is somewhat sweet and does the job when nicotine is wanted. Someone mentioned a long time ago that it is like a less sugary Mountain Dew. I think that I would like it more if it went better with my two favorite drinks, coffee and beer. It actually clashes with both of them. On it's own, the price is right and if you like MD than this is your thing. For me, if I am not drinking Ettan, Probe, or Thunder Frost would be a better choice.

Got a free can of this with my last order from Buysnus. I really liked this even though I found the nic a bit too much. Great for a couple times a day...well...okay I was using it more than twice a day, but, I loved the flavor which did not overpower the tobacco. This is one of the flavored brands I would consider buying roll of.

This is a fantastic snus! I didn't really get the Windex/chemical smell everyone keeps commenting about. I've never used a portion stronger than the regulars before, so I was a bit nervous to try it, but I'm really glad I did! I was able to keep it in for an hour with that same minty, tobaccoy, junipery goodness throughout...from beginner to end. It's a flavor experience I find very satisifying, though I've only tried one portion so far, so my tastes may change by the end of the can. I haven't been this impressed by a snus in a long time. I think I just found a new favorite! :-D
