The last round of Offroad C/V I tried early last year, I didn't enjoy. I found the flavor to be very artificial and lacking. I didn't review it at the time, because it was on the tail end of it's product life and I didn't have enough time with it or more than a few cans to actually get a good idea about it. There is a coffee flavor, and a very sweet vanilla flavor. That much hasn't changed. But, there is a little bit more bitterness to this one that is an underlying tone to the coffee/vanilla flavor, which sad to say stays around for a little while. The portions, being original portions are moist, and very soft with great mouthfeel, but they feel lacking. This may have been due to the fact that V2 only made a limited amount and stretched it as far as they could.

So Offroad Coffee Vanilla 2010 was a bust for me. I really wanted to like this one this time around, but it just didn't happen for me. The flavors tasted very artificial just like the last batch, and I couldn't get into it.

I didn't have the original, so I have nothing to compare to, but I LOVE this snus. I taste more chocolate then anything. Very nice! Please keep this one around V2.

I think your tastes are true to mine and if it is more chocolate than anything I will love it. I think they should always have a chocolate flavored snus. I enjoyed the Choc/Rasp I got, after I re-hydrated it.

I firmly believe that this batch needs to age for a month or so because this batch is alittle more bitter. HOWEVER, I'm used to fooling with the portions in my mouth with my tonge because the last 100 tins I went thru were on the dry side. Now with the new batch I find that if I leave the portion alone and just let it set in place for about 20 minutes THEN start fooling with it the flavor is VERY close to the original.

I started a thread with a poll the other day and I was complaining that it just didn't taste the same as before. I think I was WRONG. I think it does depend upon how fresh the batch is.

Sorry peeps, I'm not a good judge of picking out the subtle flavors of any snus so I won't comment on the actual flavors. All OR coffe/van has this weird taste. Not a bad weird....just weird. Some people say its a bit chemical taste. But I love it whatever it is.

So now that I leave the portion alone in my mouth I'm a happy camper and appreciate that V2 thought enough about their customers to make a batch for us. Thank you Thank you Thank you V2

Well, I don't get anything artificial out of this snus at all..

I get hints of coffee after 30 min, but chocolate right on, dark chocolate!

When I get up I will have one with my morning joe and see what the taste will be then, so far after one portion I am hooked, it is great.

Its a limited edition that only northerner has. But I believe there is someone on the snus exchange that has some available. I think its in the second post....

I taste chocolate in this snus, too. But not just any chocolate -- it tastes exactly like my great aunt Minnie's from-scratch chocolate cookies. They were rich with the bittersweet taste of cocoa powder, and just a little salty because of the baking powder she used to make them puff up into soft, chewy mounds of deliciousness. Yes, there are hints of coffee and vanilla in there, too, but the main flavor is cocoa. There was probably a little vanilla extract in aunt Minnie's cookies, too, and who knows? -- maybe her secret ingredient was a little fresh-brewed coffee. She always had a pot of it handy. Alas, I'm pretty sure aunt Minnie took that recipe to her grave.

I'm just wondering how many rolls of this stuff I can stash away before it disappears. I'll savor every can.

*sigh* Why did I not get in on this snus before it was all gone again? I was planning on getting 2 rolls from Snus Central only to find today that they're out. Shit....

I guess I'll order the SnusX kit from Northerner and some Coffee, Vanilla, and Chocolate extracts from Spice Barn and make a little Choconilla Coffee snus.

Definitely, man. I'm excited to get the stuff in to make it, to be honest. I used to make milk shakes while I worked at a restaurant for myself replacing the milk with coffee and using 2 scoops of chocolate and 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream and then mixing. Eventually a couple of other employees asked me what I was doing so I explained and soon enough I was having to make Choconilla Coffee shakes for the whole crew every night. LoL. Man, that was good stuff.
