    New Order

    Hey guys,

I wanted to trade some of my swedish snus for some American Dip but didn't have any luck because the shipping costs are way to high and it's not worth it. I never dipped american snus so here's my order (Copehagen and Skoal)

I picked one kind of each Copenhagen to try them out.

    • # Copenhagen, Pouches - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Copenhagen, Snuff - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Skoal Peach Blend, Long Cut - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Skoal Straight, Long Cut - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Copenhagen, Long Cut - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Copenhagen Wintergreen, Long Cut - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Cope Straight, Long Cut - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Cope Whiskey Blend, Long Cut - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Copenhagen Natural, Extra Long Cut - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Copenhagen Straight, Long Cut - 4 pcs. [Pending]
    • # Cope Smooth Hickory, Long Cut - 4 pcs. [Pending]

I think this guy's having a good time. LOL

    Cheers

That's a lot of dip! You might want to bag and freeze it when you get it. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will chime in, but I don't think American dip holds up as well to time as Swedish snus does. I've heard that Copenhagen in particular is sensitive as far as dates go.

        @cnash

I would have been more than happy to trade with you but the shipping costs are somewhere around $30 to U.S (I'm from Europe) and it's not worth it.

Someone PM'em me too, and had to check out the shipping costs (normal mail delivery)

Not to mention I'm pretty afraid of the vamal customs, they might take the snus from us.

        @ lxskllr

Thanks for the advice. I'll freeze it away and only keep a few cans out. I hope the Best Before dates aren't coming very soon.

It's definitely different. You'll have to remember to spit or you're be keenly reminded in rather short time.

I can't in any way gut the juice from dip or chew. Post your thoughts on the stuff.

You can also upper lip dip tobacco similar to snus. I know a guy that exclusively puts dip in his upper lip. From my own experiences, it cuts down on the amount of "juice" that gets produced.

Thats like a 2 month supply for a habitual dipper! Careful with the snuff, it so damn fine you'll need 2 or 3 small pinches to get a decent lip full.

Holy crap, that is a ton of dip that guy has! I would imagine he had to spit that out right after he stopped the video, or he would likely start shaking, throwing up, etc. That is like smoking 2 packs of smokes in 30 seconds!

Sure: Can't wait to try it. I sometimes spit the juice from SNUS, I can bet I won't be swallowing the one from dip.

Don't try it at home! LoL

The guys a heavy chewer I believe. You can even die from dipping 4 cans all at once.

Are you referring to Copenhagen Snuff?

Is it similar to Tube Rose for example ? The sweet Snuff? Because if it is I might not like it..

I mostly ordered this dip to try it out and see which one to stick to ... I think I'll enjoy the long cut and fine cut most..

Anyone knows how the hickory tastes?

I got a can of the Cope Smooth Hickory a few months back. It's not bad. It's got a little more earthy flavor to it and it's pretty much like a cross between natural and straight with a slight woody undertone. I probably wouldn't get it again 'cos I don't dip really anymore but it would be a nice change if I were back in my dipping days. It's better than Cope Whiskey Blend though...I tried that one and thought it was good at first, but it took some effort to finish the can. It's along the lines of that OR Moonshine stuff but a little sweeter and more like whiskey than grain alcohol...it's just made me think of OR Moonshine every time I took a lipper.

The Skoal straight is the bomb-diggedy though, if you like that I'd suggest you try Grizzly. Grizz is just as good and nearly half the price (around here anyways). You will also like the Skoal Peach. Try the Apple blend too if you like the peach. Steer clear of the Cherry though...that stuff is garbage. Berry blend sucks too.

Although I'm not a dipper per se, but If I was to try it, I'd pick the original Copenhagen snuff. Need less to say, I doubt that would ever happen.

American dip is quite different from Swedish snus.

Copenhagen has a sharp taste that is hard to define and you won't forget it. The nic hit is near instant. Its good stuff but watch the dates on the can. If its a bit out of date the quality goes downhill fast. Stores always try to pawn off old, dried out cope on people who don't read the dates printed on the can.

Skoal is also very good but different from cope. It's not as abrasive and sweeter. Straight is a great flavor in addition to wintergreen. Describing straight is difficult, you'll see why it is a favorite of many. I used straight for several years before switching to snus.

I hope that guy has health insurance! If I were to attempt that the paramedics would be on the way.

Copenhagen snuff, is a very fine cut, but it's not like Tube Rose, which is a dry powder, also Copen snuff is not sweet like that.

I'd be somewhat concerned how old the "Cope" cans are, since this line was discontinued a while back.
I don't know how up to fresh Northerner keeps their cans, being they still sell Grand Prix which is years old.

Once something gets past date, or is old, if they don't want to throw them out, they should sell them dirt cheap to get rid of them. I think the Klondikes are probably old too. I would think they'd have a record when they recieved them.
