    Northerner Survey Item? (Note: Page includes pics)

    I did a search on Google for this, but found nothing on the forums here. Has anyone else gotten these items, or know anything more about them? They're white Jakobsson cans with only a few portions in each can, each can numbered with black marker. Pics below:

    Sorry if it's a dupe, but like I said, the keywords didn't ring any bells, so to speak.

      D'oh! Thanks for the link, proved to be pretty enlightening.

      The snus is all right, I've almost entirely transitioned to loose snus tho, so it's not probably something I'd buy. Sort of funny this came with an order of 15 cans of Thunder Frosted Loose, but I'm not complaining. ^_^

      I've only tried No. 11 so far, and it's a very very mild taste, I perceive a lot less salt than with other portions I've tried. I'm guessing this is something meant to appeal more towards the American palette than the traditional Swedish one. Also, very little drip. I think this is one I would pass around at work to the guys who usually dip, it really would be a pretty good snus for people new to snus.

        The 100% foreign tobacco statement is interesting. That's what's on the American Camel tins also. I wonder if it's some regulatory thing, or what. I hypothesized that Camel did it to make their product seem more like real snus, but with a Swedish maker listing that, I don't know anymore.

            I believe it's the Original Ekstra Sterk variety that is going to be released by Jackobsson's soon.

              Honestly Survey Item. No 11 has grown on me the past few hours. Decent bit of nicotine, a mild taste that doesn't interfere with other consumables (e.g., a candybar, fruit), but I'd really like to try a lös version of it. Tomorrow I should have a decent report on Survey Item No. 12.

              So far all I've tasted is tobacco, with mild salt. I don't know how that affects the ph (and thus nicotine absorption rate), but it feels smoother. It's like a Camel Robust done exactly right for the US market.

              Every portion I go I keep thinking "this is the snus that can convert (American) smokers to snus."

                  Should prove to be interesting.

                  Without all the syrupy-ness of Camel roBust and a decent nic hit,
                  and the right marketing, Jakobsson's may be on to something;
                  their Wintergreen was reportedly formulated for the US market.
